Haha, well you know how to change that, right?[e digicons]:P[/e] But slightly more seriously, I think the only time a tie will matter (cause everyone in the top 10 gets the same prize) is if there is a tie for 10th.

You are correct that I cannot see your comments and to my perception, which I admit now is wrong, it did appear to be a wtf in my eyes. Just wanted to point our my perception, which I know was not your intention. [/quote
Also because of what the prizes entail (copies of the game you are talking about) I think it implicitly shows that the people saying good things about Elemental for the Army are behind what they say as they are doing it to get copies of Elemental.
Plus a lot of us have already pre-ordered the game, so we're trying to win copies of a game we already bought.
Pulses are a way of thinking about techs, by subdividing them into groups. A pulse spans several levels, and the way the system is currently concieved, a player researches (eventually) all techs in the pulse. We can toy around with making it so that not all of a pulse's techs are researched (paths the player chooses to not follow).
Ah, that explains it, thanks.
I accidentally submitted a couple things twice (really, I swear, they were accidents!). Sometimes you lose track of which Diggs you've already submitted and which you haven't. I had the points removed for the repeat though, don't worry.
Quoting kyogre12, reply 2 I've always wondered, were do you come up with the names for the factions, locations, etc? Just random things that pop into your head? Also, is there going to be any significance to the island in the middle of the Bay of Calder? It seems to me like it should. Dave Stern at Random House came up with a lot of it. I have had a sketch of the general map since back in the
In your suggested system, you mention "pulses" but as far as I can tell, you never define what a pulse is (although maybe you did and I was reading too fast and missed it). And then right after that there is your chart, with Levels 0-9 in red at the top, 0-9 in blue on the bottom, with a bunch of techs and arrows. Those two things were the biggest, but other than that it was very clear.
First, holy sh!t, 18 pages! I can't respond to everything, so I'll just sum up my general thoughts. For the most part, I like the current system, although I agree with you that the prerequisites are less than clear. But rather than changing anything about how the system works, I think that could be solved just by puttiing a button that says "Show Tree" that shows the full tech tree, with the exception of the techs that are hidden/secret. Another suggestion that has come up a l
My guilty pleasure is in Red Faction Guerilla. Piss the soldiers off enough until they send a tank at you Use the arc welder to kill driver Steal tank Go on murderous joy ride in tank ???? Profit! The best part is, if you drive it to a safe house, the alert level goes back to green, and you can then use the tank to complete missions. There's on mission in the last area where you have to kill a bunch of snipers i

It has two rivers leaving it both of which go to the sea and on opposite sides of the continent. Water flows down hill and takes the first available opening so which ever river exit was lower would take precedent except maybe in times of heavy rains when the lake rises enough to poor into the 2nd river. I'm not that familiar with every lake/river in the world
I kinda hope there's an "automatic" option, at least. I really don't want to have to create a "construction phase" for every building I make. I consider the construction phase far less important than the completed structure, as I will spend much less time looking at it. An option to automatically generate the in-construction phase based on the completed structure would be very welcome. I honestly don't think I'd mind if that were the only way.<
Did you change which one of the Stardock sites you're posting from? If you got all your karma from the Demigod site (which looks to be the case) and then started coming to Elemental or Sins or something, it won't show your karma until someone on the new site gives you karma (which is weird, I know). Because you're right, looking at this post from Elemental, it says you have 0 karma, but when I click on it it shows you have karma.
Go to the home page of the site, and in the middle at the top there is a button that says "Pre-Order." Click on that, and you will get taken to a page with a couple different options for pre-ordering. One is the upgrade to the Limited Edition.
Supcom 2 had completely different tech beneath the hood compared to supcom/FA, at least in part. Yes, its still has to do extremely minor pathing. Sins games last hours and hours, so obviously it was built around saves in
Yes, the current plan is for an August 24 release. But if they can't make that release, it will be postponed to February 11 (pretty sure its 11. Definetly February, though).
After reading Climber's 5 Unique playstyles by making each individual tech tree viable thread, I got to thinking about the Adventuring branch of research, and how little we know about it and how it will work. The first, and probably most important thing we don't know about is dungeons. Are they even still in the game? The original beta schedule called f
