An Elemental t-shirt... wow, i would love to buy one. Or two.
I wonder what would go on the shirt at this point. Just the logo? I was looking at the logo and it is not very high contrast, so the letters would probebly just be solid black on a tan shirt. Sins has that red and black I don't even know what design that sticks up from the words into the planet in their main logo, that is easy to turn into a shirt. I guess it would

AVCHD is an Mpeg 4 based codec though. AVC is used on Blu-ray which is why it gets itself such a high spot. Other then that, I feel your pain frogboy. There is some open-source tools you might be able to use, but since they are open source the UI leaves something to be desired. You're a programmer though, so I suspect you'll be able to deal with it. If you say exactly what kind of video editing you want, then maybe I can help find some good

I have those speakers ^_^ I threw out a large bulk of cables once. It had some old stuff in it that I 'knew' I'd never us again. Then I got stuck with an old TV and I needed all my cables to survive a weekend, but had none of them (actually I was able to manage, but that isn't the point. It would have been much easier if I kept my trash)

(I have been frustrated at games in the past that don't provide options when it wouldn't be much hassle, just like making a variable exposed to the UI game creation options, but then it doesn't happen)
Also, I think somebody mentioned this before but geographic weather 'zones' would be amazing. there hase been this https://forums.elementalgame.com/331361 also called 'unlimited expansion by us and the players'
When someone broadcasts content, Stardock moderators rate and define it more closely. From this screen, players can decide what types of creatures they want, the quality of the submission desired (we will rate the broadcasts in terms of production values as well), etc. These creatures will hav
Mentioning X-Com makes me worry about the game requiring furious clicking for all combat, but I definitely think a bit of unit autonomy along these lines would help any game like Elemental.
Oh, I'm sure that part will be fixed. (ok, it wasn't just me. Double-clicks shouldn't be in games without an obvious UI sign such as highlight = 1st click, act = 2nd click) Yeah, I just imagined like you pick a few units then you select an enemy ci
Assume what you want, but remember what that verb can do to you and me
(I love that pun. +1!) I feel that its basically confirmed. Sure, it likely is not going to be included early, since frogboy hasn't mentioned it. But stardock has been putting everything through beta of late, and there is no way they arn't going to give the custom-content a stress test as well. (Like luckmann says)
I think it might necessitate some sort of fire retardant saddle
yeah, I imagine the saddle, armor, weapons, and person are all magically fire retardant. I imagine that this more common to be used by the fallen since the rider would have to be magically enhanced to survive the extreme temperatures.

yeah... its called a beta. I'm sure that a beta for all that customization stuff stardock wants for the game will be released before final retail release.

So, stardock said that this game is master of magic meets X-com. I certainly can see the Master of Magic influence, but what about X-com? It doesn't really have trading, civics, magic, or even armies (at least not the version I played). You just built bases and dispatched guys out to defend earth. Occationally you'd come to something similar to the turn-based combat we have. Now, I guess the influence X-com has is the fog-of war on
To use a somewhat more known example: Mage in the WoD. Although the magic system in that is certainly flawed, in many ways you were restrained only by imagination and your mage's inherent power/skill in the fields.
certainly, WoD is a decent example. Better than D&D anyway. using the less known system was actually intended. I personally like Burning Wheel a lot. better than WoD even, and I wanted to generate curiousity so people might
I don't like the idea of totally random weather, independent of seasons. It replaces strategic planning with blatant luck. If there's no way to roughly predict the weather then you can never take it into account except on a turn-by-turn basis, which isn't so helpful. Seasons allow you to take into accout chances of weather in long-term planning. Totally random, meaningful weather would be too much of a wildcard for me.
Yeah, but some people like it that way for some rea
guys, do you see frogboy's unit creation screen being part of the process of creating magic using units? That's how i'm seeing it. Maybe there is a tab you click to create magic using units. Once here, you *have* to impart essence to create a single unit, then you get to choose spells similar to how you choose weapons/armour but those spells are confined to spells you've researched (maybe a seperate spell research tree that is specific to units).
yeah, I see it just tak
I'm tired of the 'wall-to-wall carpeting' of civilizations, as you put it, as well. I want there to be wilderness that lasts throughout the game. But I think that having regions that are controlled by 'natural' (read: beast) beings is the best way to achieve that. Some of these regions could be fairly easy to overrun by the end of the game, but some could remain a real challenge even at the end of a large map.
of course, that most likely means that many players will 1st

I'd say my fav. part are the capital ships. They provide the most diversity between the races and let me play a different way each time based on which capital ship or two I start using. The levels are generally interesting by design, since for me spinning around in the 3D solar system is quite entertaining. The fact that the games are really long too tends to get me stuck playing, so once I start a level I never want to stop until I've taken the system.
Is that a... fire... slug?
yeah, sure. Except it moves really fast (the way fire shoots across an oil slick) My friend actually said she can see the form of a wolf in the flames, after she pointed it out to me, I can see it now too. So I say it can be whatever you want really, if you take away all the flames (which make the eye stalks too) perhaps there is entirely different creature underneath. Who knows?

I'd be a bit disappointed if it was not possible from the git-go to build a squadron of huntresses, etc.
you do have a point. In GC2 it takes quite a while before you really have a large selections of ships since you start with only being able build tiny ships. Its true. I've said it before and I'll say it again.
