Oh and also, the abrupt one-pixel indentation where the cheek on the left ends is a little disconcerting. Is it possible to smooth it out any more than that?
I do see that now. I blame the viewing angle of the screen I was doing my editing on. When the picture is blown up to my full screen its not as evident, and I run it on a crazy high resolution so its hard to actually see it clearly when its actual pixel size (1920x1200 I believe, I'm

two thumbs up for this discussion [e digicons][/e] Sadly I don't have much to add at this moment. (I added to the honor system in the other thread, so I stand by that post)
Only on a map *with* an equator
right, well I mean the 'tube' style map is in theory something that goes all around whatever world it is on. I can only imagine that would have an equator of some sort. Of course the discussion of non-square maps that might not apply, and I'd be really interested to see how that would be setup.
awesome. I enjoy paradox games a lot. I may have to look to see if I have any spare cash to pick up some more titles.
OK, lets forget the beta for a moment. How about a completely different contest that is BEFORE the beta? what kind of shirt would you like
btw what it poles? I believe you havent invented magnetism yet (and having poles does not necessary mean impassible ice barriers either - thats just how it turned out on our world)
Thats true, and I want multiple and different worlds personally. However the poles are pretty much doomed to be bizzar no matter the planet. The only exception is if whatever world has its rotating axis pointed towards the governing gravity well, at which point
I'd also like to have "Finish them"-Button. This could be a button for "give the control to the AI" but it could also be an answer to the enemy pressing the retreat-button.
I remember getting so frustrated in games where it was like "There is no way that I could lose another unit" then I hit the auto-battle, and the AI does something stupid and costs me a unit I shouldn't have lost (like running my ammo-less archers accross the field to fight an earth elemental when the
Also if you want to make your bear in the same style as the other digicons (I don't know if that's a goal or not), a small shadow at the bottom (and in general making it look as if it's lit from the top left, out of the page) would go a long way I think.
yeah, thats been a frustration of mine working with it. However it fights me because my efforts to make a shadow seem to just be turning into an extension of the face. I'm still working on that part.&n
OK, if somebody were to have a contest. A contest that involved you actually doing something in real life (like posting an elemental bannor somewhere and taking a picture of it) and there were going to be prizes of T-shirts. What kinds of shirts would you want (T-shirt, or button up, or polo, or what) And would the possibility of getting a shirt motivate you to actually being in the contest?
But IIRC, they are still between formally assigned web devs, so any site work is effectively an extra burden for someone who's working on other code. Smilie updates (and others) might be few and far between for a while.
lol, I had no expectation that there was actually a chance that could happen. I was just proud that somebody suggested the quality was anywhere close enough that it looked like it fit.
I would consider shar
So there is this ghost buster game coming out in 6 or so months. It has the original cast voice acting and the original writers creating the story which to me seems totally awesome. But I haven't seen much that makes the game really sound 'fun'. Like I am going to buy it anyway, because I really want to follow the story, but I'm worried that is it going to be tedious gameplay. What do you think?
Making features optional is definitely easier the earlier on in the process it's decided. But nonetheless, making a feature optional inevitably requires extra work. If making every feature optional required a menial investment of time and money if done early enough into the process, then a plethora of options would be much more common than they are. Actually, there's another reason. Too many options can just as easily degrade a game as improve it. Quality control is much harder to do w
First having a catapult does not indicate they are sieging a castle... plenty of territory may need to be traveled on the way to the castle where the catapult can be ambushed / attacked. Even if the catapult is at a castle then the people/beings inside the castle might be using other types of attacks other than melee to melee... such as their own catapults, longbowmen, or mages casting fireballs and disease. I doubt very few engineers would try spending time pulling a catapult away whe
but... I didn't want to shoot the puppy...
Well, the 3D view wouldn't hurt. The pointer would be able to actually move around on a flat surface above the plane on which the rest of the game would exist. It would be good depth perception practice to click on things. the battles would look great
do you really think its worth being on the collection? I think there is a lot of room for improvement, but I guess most artists say that about their own art.
It isn't an avatar, but I figured it should still go here. Its an Elemental "Digi-con". Luckman gets the points for motivating me to do it. We have all these animals like sheep [e digicons]:sheep:[/e] or cows [e digicons]:moo:[/e] but no bears. So here it is. The Bear Digicon (woah [e classic]:surprised:[/e]
Look Luckman! a bear! I made it so that we have a bear as well as fox, cow, and other digicons. [e digicons]:sheep:[/e] [e digicons]:seal:[/e] [e digicons]:fox:[/e] [e digicons]:dog:[/e] [e digicons]:meow:[/e] Right at home!
Just imagine what cavemen would think if you gave them a box of matches.
he probebly wouldn't think much of them at all, since he wouldn't bother to try to strike them on the funny side of the box.
descent and descent freespace are both really good space games. I disagree with Zieben, you don't need cheats for descent, especially not the freespace games. It gets boring fast if you cheat
There isn't an article on bear cavalry yet? We need an article on 'bear calvary' too, that says its a common misspelling of "bear cavalry"
Any siege weapons will be lost during a retreat since it's not possible to run away from an enemy while pulling a catapult or carrying a battering ram.
That is not entirely true. There are many factors in that. For example... if somebody has a catapult, chances are they are seiging a castle. If they try to run from a castle, they are going to escape, because the people in the castle would have to be stupid to leave their castle to go
Well, from what I understood at the Intel booth at GDC last year, getting them to work is really easy. You just have to have the rendering engine be able (and ready) to render the same image from slightly different angles. In theory (again, intel rep talking) the production cost will not change much to provide support for it.
Sounds like the beginning of a prize design for the beta multiplayer folks
prize eh? are you suggesting like a tournement or something with which a prize might be awarded? (or was a prize mentioned somewhere else and I forgot?) You know, if we did arrange some sort of prize giving content, I'd be a major supporter. I know I could front enough cash to pay for a few shirts or hats or something. Heck, I'd even order them at a cre
possible a specific weather event scenario may be bugged.
that really isn't an excuse for anything. "because it may be bugged'" applies to everything in the game and should be fixed should a bug appear.
