I was just talking about this with somebody. I figure its because of the processing that a video card must do. The CPU, RAM, and video card are pretty much all bundled together to ensure efficiancy and speed. If you don't have them all plugged into the motherboard bridge, wouldn't it cause all sorts of problems?

supposedly this is non-fiction psycic stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Psychic-Warrior-Americas-Foremost-Top-Secret/dp/0312964137 I read it once for a paper.
do we get a 'classic' setting where it looks like that? I'm shocked at how much emphisis there is put on "early" I mean it doesn't look that different from the other screens we have. It doesn't look bad.
I agree. Its not too much, and he said we'd have something awesome this week. That being said, right after this post we did get a pretty fat wall of info from frogboy. Nothing particularly specific, but it did answer some generic questions. That being said, if the hour each week I imagine it takes make a post and get it approved by marketing (or whatever stardock has that can decide what can and cannot be released to the public without violating NDA) makes the diffe
awww, neither dungeon keeper nor startopia are on that list. Well I stand that at least one of the two are spot number 11.
Yeah, but you can't take out the DVD and put in any other movies. You could leave the game on and paused... it would be the same thing. You can pause the game, and put your computer into hibernate. *bam* I used to pause games and just turn off my TV all the time. I still do, I guess, but I leave bigger slots of time to play most games so it doesn't really come up as much I feel. (when I was a kid, I'd have to go to dinner, or whatever.
Well, you don't often get to play truely parasitic people. Even when they 'claim' to be parasites, like the zerg, there is little that really makes me feel that they are. They have infected people and creatures, but that is about it. Those creatures seem to be living alright on their own. The people living in a giant would have to have some reason to want to do it. Perhaps they use the giant's body heat to keep their nobility warm, or maybe they take some of the

man, too bad I have most of those. Titan quest for $4 is such a good deal!
what update. I don't see anything over the rock, paper, shotgun article in time.
[quote] Holy self-contradicting semantics coupled with completely inappropriate analogy Batman!!! I guess if my DVD player forced me to watch a movie again from the beginning every time I wanted to take bathroom break then I could compare it to unnecessarily limiting game design decisions. [quote who="Luckmann" reply="7" id="2050263"] Quoting landisaurus, reply 5It has to do with the HTML. I find it happens most when I copy-paste from a word proccessor. I now filter all my posts through textpad to cut down on extra junk. I also (when its a problem) I actually manually check the HTML, removing anything I don't think I need. Thanks, I'm going to see if I can iron this one out. Edit: I found the issue. It actually adds a divide for ever
[quote who="Luckmann" reply="24" id="2050290"] I'd really like to see a seafaring race. Whatever the details of the magic system, Water magic has got to be more interesting when rivers, lakes, seas and ships are involved.Yeah, I know it looks like I'm picking on you here, quoting you over and over again. Sorry for that. But I'd actually like to see a seafaring race who DOESN'T employ massive amounts of water magic. And Imperial Seafaring nation with an affinity for Fire and Wind, p
I just hope it has stuff as cool as the wall of brain moles from Planescape torment. Planescape has so many things to form those would-be WTF moments (for people who weren't overly familar with the setting) and I love seeing them realized in something other than a book.

I could do something about it if stardock neglected our plees for bear mounts. Cavalry are like a standard in fantasy games (you have your horses,
yeah, you must not have played for very long. They also are prone to appear at the least oppurtune time, like when you have a city with nobody on it to be protected *BAMPH* a deamon attacks. That isn't entirely true, but that is how it feels because it happens (also because demons move by 'flying' so they shoot over water and similar places where you don't expect, so you THINK its safe until something comes from the sea. Also, deamons are tough and usually can't be stoppe
Right, but I mean the tollerance for micro is much higher in a turn based game, at least it should be. Its not like RTS micro anyway. I think they would almost have to try to make it bad. You don't want to just press 'end turn' for hundreds of turns on end do you? and if you do, I'm sure that there will be a governer feature that would let that happen.
Its ok. I'm living in a glass bubble that is protected by an army of bear cavalry. Its impervious to mad space ponies or their dieseases*. *I'd make more fun of your misspelling, but you caught yourself the 2nd time you wrote it.
best fantasy TBS of all time!? thats a boostful claim. Well, you just motivated me to go find it and play this. I accept your challange, lets see if its as good as you say.
the bone city thing is probebly going to be easy once we get our mod tools. Burrowing into a giant's brain though? that would be interesting, how do you propose it? (now, I want a city that is IN a giant's brain. Like you have a living being and the people chain it down, then burrow their city into its living flesh, harvesting food and such just to feed it and keep it alive)
Usually unit caps are put into place so that the machines intended to run the game can. That is why Warcraft 3's was so low, because they wanted the game to be pretty but still run on average systems of the time. They could couldn't have 200 units running around the stage at once. Sadly though, this was right after starcraft, age of empires 2, and Red alert 2 (which was all 2D) so it seemed very limiting. A better one would be "don't not-think your game m

I'd imagine we will have those random murauding monsters like in MoM. You know, where a monster lair that hasn't been cleared might spawn a monster from time to time that will head towards whatever tasty city is ripe for the razing. Sometimes they burn the towns to the ground, but sometimes they just loot, destroy some buildings, kill a few thousand inhabitants, and then vanish into the night. I'm really interested to hear about the temples/tombs/dungeons, sinc
My biggest hope is that the E:WaR will actually be able to completely replace MoM for me. (like how HoMM 3 replaced HoMM2.. I really have no reason to play HoMM2 again, because the 3rd does everything better) I'm on the same boat as the thread starter here. My biggest fear is that this game won't have the multiple worlds like in master of magic. I know that is not a very big deal, and I aggree. I just can't find anything else I'm really fearful about.&nbs
I think we should just make it so the game is window friendly so you don't NEED it to auto-save when you loose focus because its a smooth transition.
