I remember fighting about lost artifacts in another game. I think HoMM. It made me sad when I lost an artifact. Usually it was a whole bunch, so I'd label the hero that I knew had them and I would try my hardest to fight him again.
Just cause seemed to have done both. its description was in bettered relationships AND helped with heroes and magic item sales. The spell itself did that by gaving you extra fame (which effects hero/unit recruitment). Aura of Majesty might have been better for only relationships, but "just cause" definatly did everything. I would cast just cause and all the wizards would pretty much now love me. (or hate me less) now that I think about i
Having a way to quickly/easily apply custom textures, or change the tint on existing ones (WindowsBlinds color changing anyone?) would be cool.
its true, and that would let some novice people who may not have access to good texture software be able to still customize their armies. I suspect they will, because Gal Civ 2 had the power to choose your primary and secondary color. It was a bit basic, but it did the job, so I hope to see that again or something
this was actually discussed to great detail in a different thread (or two). Its an old thread, so we do need a 2nd one. I just wanted to point it out for people who wanted to go back and look at the older ideas. I wonder how things have changed now that we know more about the game in terms of opinions.
Landisaurus, MoM had a spell exactly like that
uh... I know... I was talking about a spell that was in MoM in the first place... "Just cause" which was in MoM... They both were supposed to better your relations with enemy wizards, I felt that just cause was better (in name and function as it also made better heros and mercenaries appear as well). When I was a kid I loved "Just cause" because I did not
I'd guess the walls were about 3-4 meters tallk, which I think is about 18'-20' tall (I can't judge imperial measurements). If you look at the doors to the buildings, and guess that is about 2 meters tall, and the wall is about twice that high, so 3-4 meters tall.
AoW classic - Hell fire (I think that is what it was called. Fire rained from the sky onto a city. It did a ton of damage and was fun to watch) MoM classic - Armageddon MoM classic - Just cause (except I of course would want it to do more in relation to diplomacy. If this was exactly like civ 4, which I know its not but its my best starting point, I'd want it to give +1 relations with all other wizards, and have that slowly go up over time that the spell is i
Gal Civ 2 had that wierd fleet mechanic that I had a hard time figuring out to a point where I really appriciated it. Like, i always didn't have fleet sizes big enough to accomidate more than 1 of my uber ships that I created towards late game (because I usually focused on getting bigger guns rather than better fleet management) But I'd imagine this game, war of magic, will have master of magic style grouping, except not arbitrarily limited to 9. So I don't
Did I mention a spell that gives me a floating city?
Quoting redrevolution129, reply 12never forget Advance Wars for the GBA and DS That's not an RPG. It's TBS (and a blatant Battle Isle ripoff to boot).
what? Battle isle (the 90s) came out way after Famicom wars (late 80s). It only seems to be the other way around because famicom wars didn't come out in the US and europe until advance wars.
win 7 ready yet? (or was it already. I haven't tried yet)
It had 1 space in every direction. I suspect there was a calculation that confirmed that it wasn't 0 spaces in every direction. I hope that doesn't mean that it can't start on waters edge though.
I'd want a megaman game that listened to my demands (megaman 9 was good, and X8... but in general, the series has not been as good of late as it should be) At first I thought a PC version of monster Rancher , which was like "WOW, that would be awesome" but then I realized I was wrong. Especially since that isn't capcom ^_^'
my vote: I don't mind paying a few extra bucks to get something special. I like stuff. And it makes sense from both a consumer and designer point of view. on a high budget product (like most AAA games these days) you really might want to charge more than $50 per person for those hardcore people that will pay anything to get said game. Hollywood is able to make this up by having box office cost like 10 bucks, but there is a flat rate on video g
Bionic Commando Re:armed stardust HD Contra Castle Crashers another game that is very similar to stardust HD, but its on pills or something?
will join as soon as I get home.
well, linksys WRT54G routers very from good to suck (based on version, newer version actually have less memory. I think the 'best' wersion of that model is 3, provided you know how to change the firmware) routers are tough, since usually the information that matters is hidden (so you can't compare it to others, its like a industry wide ban on giving cust the "not-needed" info especially since it can be missleading.) Gameing or other high end routers will brag ab
Man, I just have to say something (in case the karma doesn't mean enough) I like all this work you're putting into repeating crossbows (or whatever) and other weapon mechanics. *claps*
If the back-story for the official races/factions are that well developed to require a name generator, that's probably a good sign. If such an animal is implemented, I would like to see it exposed to the modding community who may wish to plug in their own name constructors for any custom created races/factions.
master of magic had a name generator. It had NO back-story at all. So I wouldn't say its a sign

SINS... by far (actually the most is "elemental: War of Magic" forums. [ forums.elementalgame.com ] Another stardock title (not ironclad though). There is a contest to win a free shirt going on that forum right now. So if you have a lot of time to be eaten, spread the word on said myspace or facebook and show a screenshot or something, put it in the forum above (same login as SINS) and you may win a shirt or even a PC game
Company of Heroes is coming, there's going to be a new master version of the original game that we're waiting on.
that is among the best news I've heard. THAT is a game I don't have (somehow) but have wanted for a long time. (it is always missing from the shelves or not on super-sale next to another title I want that is) so it becoming impulse will ensure that it becomes added to my RTS archive. With&
because they will. There was talk about an all-women 'amazon' type faction in another discussion. Certainly, they wouldn't be complete with woman mounts. Only then would it be an ALL WOMAN army. (that would be 'hot' on several levels) And chariots pulled by women in chains and leather harnesses.... ok, I officially have given it too much thought now.
yay! release date confirmed! (maybe then we will get the AI diplomacy expansion which I now want more than ever thanks to the fact that you can blockade people with starbases)
