I'm afraid we don't really know enough to say how exactly the turns are being handled. Its still in alpha, so a lot could change in the way turns are handled by beta, let alone release.

I assumed that the channeler would be like the Age of Wonder Wizards, except actually able to do something on the battle field if you so choose (in AoW there was no benifit I could see from leaving your wizard tower except to go to another wizard tower) I know I wanted the sovereign in the next master of magic be able to be any race (original master of magic had only humans with 1 maybe two exception, the dragon and the cloaked guy) but this game doesn't really ha

just to experess opinion, I'm not really one that supports the linage. If this were a game about kings, I'd be behind it 100%. But if channelers are going to have some way to have hairs, I'd want it to be more magical. Something like a magical way to move all his or her personality and essense into another body. It would be like a 'spell of return' usable to prevent yourself from dieing. I think if were anything else it might take away from the over all

Just put them in little sandwich bags and insert them into the boxes! Using dungeons to train units is an interesting idea. Imagine a scenario where an enemy takes the nearby town, but you still control the dungeon without them knowing it. They then move

1. frogboy mentioned they wanted AI that almost seemed human, which I assume means having a such a wide array of psudo conversation topics that they could mention specific parts of the game like "I fear those smelly super spartans. I wish I could put some of them on my awesome bears" or whatever they might say (I'm not sure why they would say such a random line, but I'm sure there are a few) 2. and some of your enemies will want to establish tra

are you talking about a game? If its demigod, you can't activate right now because its been disabled until release. I have no idea what that link is, but its obviously broken. So if you can't activate, its probebly because you're doing something that isn't related to impulse or stardock.

It will be on tuesday. I personally wouldn't say anything to anybody who might actually care just because I don't think release dates are really that important. (i feel the same way about food at dinner. Just bring it out when its done, we don't need to wait for the burger to get cold because the stake takes longer for some reason. Some disagree, and I'm sure I could be lectured on why its important. But really.... its all bureaucracy to me.)

So I am curious to hear just how devistating it might be if a single shipment is missed? in theory, a single missed caravan of food could be devestating since people are now starving, but at the same time they'd have stores (at least they should) for just such an occation. In NTJedi's example, we'd have 3 caravans, if they miss 1 of these caravans are they going to fall ill? Am I going to be forced to build a granary to store food 1st? I

I personally am interested in tackling the RPG aspect of this game in the mod space. because of all the RPG talk (I blame NTJedi the most) I have cooked up some sketchy ideas of things I'd like to try depending on how the dungeons turn out. I personally imagine that you'll be able to get a set of heros. So like in MoM, each hero would take up his or her own tile. In an RPG only, you'd cut out all the units and stuff leaving only the heroes to e

thinking about it, I think calling the 1st beta "beta 0" might be a mistake. Because I recall brad making a big deal about betas were not supposed to be fun and there was to be no mistake this time around. Now beta 0 gets the label "0" with an emphisis on 'not fun' rather than just pushing the 'fun' version back to beta 4. So now people are going to equate beta '0' to be the 'bad beta' and still expect a 'fun beta' for the ones with numbers that can be used in divis

[quote who="GW Swicord" reply="9" id="2130616"] Apologies for quibbling, but I'm pretty sure the only item in your list that isn't ancient tech is the hand-held gun (rifles and pistols). The crossbow is probably over 2,000 years old, and both Archimedes and Alexander the Great understood how to use complicated war machines. Quibbles aside, y'all's debate here leaves me vaguely convinced that the newfangled essence stuff is going to lead to some serious re-thinking of wha

from what I understand the city expands with the buildings. From the looks of it, rather than a small hamlet and a huge metropolis taking up the same number of tiles, the city actually grows. Farms would be on the outscirts, however I do not believe they will need caravans into town. I only see them being used in caravans in your City A and City B example I would not expect 10% to be lost in transuit, but rather a certain set amount on upkeep (the way an army would

EA's getting better. I'm actually interested to see how this economic downturn treats them. Either they will become SUPER strict or they will become a much better company than they are now. (or the economic downturn actually will not effect them that much and the will stay mostly the same, but it looks like one of the other options) Maxis makes more money than any other department except EA sports... which makes the most money. I was just about to say linksys with either DD-WRT or Tomato firmware. you may want to look at the respective firmware providers to see which models are most compatible. Thats your best when on a budget. D-link is good if you're buying a high-end router. Like a good D-link is VERY good.... a cheap D-link is very cheap. being that your budget is 100, I'd suggest clearing away from D-link unless you plan to spend almost all of that 100.

Like that just doesn't make sense. pre-renaissance warfare was entirely about having the biggest armies. It wasn't until the begining of the renaissance when things like crossbows, complicated war machines, and guns started to appear that
