do you think they'd stop posting because they are too busy playing, or because they fear they may accidently break the NDA?
landisaurus
I've wondered that myself.
O RLY? So good guys can't go on the offensive to take out the bad guy? The best defense isn't a good offense?
I didn't say that good guys can't go on the offensive. I said bad guys are more aggressive by nature. There are plenty of passive bad guys, or good guys who do things like start bar fights (though I can't think of many. Even when I include Klingons from the 24th century Star Trek) or kill people without prov
Anyway, I want to give negative Karma for people complaining about the artistic direction by not understanding the meaning of different graphic styles (style different from photorealistic =/= bad graphics), sadly (or fortunately) I cannot.
while I understand why you feel that way, you shouldn't WANT to give negative karma. It goes against the principles of 'karma'. You should never wish ill of others, even if they deserve it. (They will get thei
will you send out more invites if not all 100 choose to sign the NDA?
argh... now I wish I purchased the game earlier [e digicons]:([/e] Just did it today [e digicons]-_-[/e] ;
You'll still be in the beta about a month from now. The alpha likely isn't going to that fun anyway. I mean it isn't even "beta" yet. Chances are it won't even run on half of the lucky 100's computers
I don't know. I've wondered myself. (or it could just be MS-paint being used to cover up whatever was behind it. And the generic 'pink' looked fine) Anyway, I'll give up the avatar I made for Luckmann 1st. I figure you others will follow suit (I'm really excited to see what You have for me wintorsong. I've had a peek at the avatar Luckmann created for you, and I thought it was pretty amusing) I know you told me the fon
Legend of the Five Rings has plenty of pissed off kitsune. ^_^ Especially in my Samurai edition Kitsune deck. @wintersong&Luckmann : I guess we should decide when to trade avatars. I figure since we have no way of knowing when the alpha goes live, we should just trade now that the NDA e-mails have gone out.
I'd love magical bears for my champions.
wouldn't taking the survey now change that question about being selected for the alpha? (I mean most people know if they have an e-mail in their inbox from yarlen or not)
I forgot to ask. How was that vacation Frogboy? cloudy skies?
since the form of life magic is based on good or evil, I'd say good would be more defensive, just because evil is more aggresive by nature. Good undead I imagine doing things like cleaning up the streets or doing labor in the fields. I was in a very good role-playing camaign once where we managed to find a count who's bloodline provided him power over the undead. He was actually nice though (its was a vampire hunter D setting, so this was a fairly big deal) and ge
I was almost thinking this was going to be some kind of full list. I wonder if we'll even have a full list in the 1st round of beta. (probebly I guess)
I could imagine one side have vampiric healing (draining life from one target and putting it into another) where the other side would be straight up healing (just giving extra life-force.) My wonder is "is it good or evil that holds the power of resurection?"
rough times. I kinda expect a riot of disapointment.
here is where we are all afraid to check our e-mail for fear of the e-mail be missing. Looks like Ron was right (I recall he said if he were in charge it would be sent out today at the latest)
well, it comes up "how many pre-orders are there?" I mean, honestly? There can't be more than 400 right? which means we all have 1/4 chance to be in anyway (I'm pulling these numbers completly out of my butt. For all I know there is 5000 pre-orders, and I guess I wouldn't be surprised) point is, we may not know who was or was not pre-selected just because of the numbers that get in. One might be able to guess (has 1 karma, 3 posts on sins,
I half expected zoomba to post something like "I played elemental" as a tease. But seriously, I played Fat Princess. the goal is to feed your princess so much cake the other people have a hard time breaking into your castle to carry her off. (you need like 4 people to carry a very fat princess)
Well, if that's the case then I imagine a lot of very happy people must have e-mail in their in-boxes. Well, they still have a few days, but *I* wouldn't put it out any later than tomorrow, simply to give those lucky people time to get it back in 'on time' before thursday release.
I'm sure you know exactly to whom you should pass your feelings. ^_^ trouble is, when those very happy people discover what is in their inboxes, they won't be able to let others
Here is a good question: What are the changes between the alpha and the beta? (I ask this because many people won't see the alpha, and the people who do won't be able to talk about it. I think this will be on many people's minds when the beta comes.)
I certainly enjoyed filling it out. I like these surveys from time to time. Perhaps once in a while even more than on a weekly basis. Since I didn't know it was coming, it kept me on my toes. (another thing I'd be interested in seeing is one of the old surveys, or at least questions from it, effectivly reposted when the beta community is swarming to see how results changed) [e digicons]k1[/e]
possibly for gamma.
has there ever been a question about that? I mean, there was a time we didn't know about the alpha (its a new thing after all) but I've never heard any possibility of the gamma *not* having an NDA. the gamma has always had an NDA to my knowledge, and I recall discussions about how there has to be an NDA for the gamma so that there can be 'exclusive' bits for magizines and websites to post. Without that, the media won't be e
Well, in my judgement it depends on how or if they can breathe fire: that generally requires magic to do, but I imagine you can do it normally as well.
I find a lot of more modern dragon stories actually create a 'reason' that dragons breath fire other than "magic". Often it comes from some sort of organ that produces a flamable gas (which happens to some extent in real life, it just doesn't come out of our mouths, nor is it expelled in amounts that it could be us
When did this happen? I hope that it isn't one of those legal thingies you can't sign if you're a minor....
it happened friday. (my finding out about it, not any signing or anything like that) anyway, I had hoped there wouldn't be an NDA just so I could express my excitement for the game with information from the alpha included. But it was confirmed in the IRC chat that there a legal thingy. However, about minors signing it? &
have you messaged wintersong (the creator of that avatar)? I've wondered its origins too
I didn't know they made duel-cores that slow. I mean, my 2nd PC was something like 90 Mhz , and that one is only 1.76Mhz. 1.76 Ghz would be expected, but 1.76 Mhz ? duel-core or not, that wouldn't even run Win 95. (for the recond, I don't know the specs on my 1st PC. the 90Mhz one ran Win95, but the one that I remember before that ran dos and later win 3.1. I have no idea what was 'under the hood' on that o
