Well, if you really think about it. What are they going to say? They've stated a few times they want this to be as mod friendly as possible. I'm sure they want you to be able to play other people's mods and move between them seemslessly. I know I don't want to have to constantly move physical files around to change in and out mods. But until the beta comes out at the very minimum, there isn't much to say on the subject.

no, I couldn't see him wave his fist or anything like that. (of course, now it looks like grand admiral thrawn, but before when it was an angry face)
I... don't see an animation.
usually its after the Beta release, to allow a window of time that pay-pal users can purchase. When its released, look then for when the cut off is. Likely it will be a couple of weeks later, if history or the dev's estimates are accurate.
In the place I grew up "jock" was as bad if not worse than being called "gay". Jock = very stupid gay = strange
I support this. It wasn't true in my childhood, though Jock wasn't good either. Back in the day, I used to hang around a gaming center and everytime somebody shouted "This is Gay" or similar, I'd respond from accross the room "HEY! How do you know I'm not gay, and I just t
Frogboy, even though you speak the truth about the Stardock betas - good lord, man, you're scaring the children! Won't somebody please think of the children?
I remember something about there being man-nipples in this game? Shame on you. There can't be children around that sort of thing. Its like an automatic M rating. Why would you even think about them when making an M rated game?
so are the dumb players still conscious, or did they let themselves overdose and are now dead? no poly limit? good idea, but dangerous words (is having nightmares of unreasonably high poly models that don't actually look very good. All because they used the curve tool in maya.) woah, I love those clouds. is that fog of war? or just natural ambiance?
I think the problem we have is with our whole darn culture. Games (or other media, like movies, songs, and books) are the very tip of the ice berg. It all stems from the differences that are inherit in our culture. I was encouraged to play with G.I. Joe, Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Batman and the Terminator as a kid. My sister was encouraged to play with My little pony, Treasure Trolls, and cabbage patch kids. Maybe if we stopped letting THAT happen, i
oh, sorry. I was making edits to my post. (I felt the same way you did when I re-read it. It came off sounding like I was promoting it, which is NOT the case. I was trying to demote taking an extreme stance against it.) No I think that jokes are a good motivator. Reguardless of the context, it DOES generate good feelings in the staff, which encourages teamwork, job satisfaction, and eases stress, not to mention positive effects on
wow... I mean, I understand her point of view on some of them. ("you don't touch the over elves like that" from only warcraft 2 female comes to mind) But suggesting that the zerg represent sexuality of women I think is streching it. But, like... target audiance in 1998 when starcraft came out? Sorry woman, yeah, its a male dominated industry, and it REALLY was a male dominated industry 10 years ago. And this at no fault of anybody. &
And on an unrelated note, i can't get it to play anymore when i click on the link...
sounds like somebody needs to contact support. Does it just not respond at all? like if you right click and select 'launch' in steam? or when you open the file directly?
I feel like this is a case where 'keep it simple' might be better. Having too complex of a visual range I feel would confuse early users and create an 'elite' group of players that actually understand its mechanics. I'd keep standard 'sight' range (with things like scouts obviously seeing further than normal bums) Then I'd suggest several abilities or modifiers. I'd suggest a few forms of this. "stealthy" - that would reduce the distance t
I like how this 'kitten game' is totally taking off.
Actually, I'd like to revise my position and say that Federation Dauntless-class (real or not) is my favourite. Aestheticly.
That is certainly late 24th century design, and certainly post-Voyager. You can tell based on the position and appearance of the Impulse engines. Its the same appearance and design as Voyager, which is different from the Federation ships in TNG and DS9; all similar to the galaxy-class enterprise. I haven't seen much Voyager, bu

I'd rather just ask for a stable windowed environment able to change resolutions, and perhaps even to have additional windows (so that multi-screen users can have game windows on multiple screens) to allow for easy access to any chat or voip programs; steam, skype, AIM, IRC, vent... you name it. I think that is much more reasonable than asking for steam intigration (especially since steam is like THE compeditor of impulse)
It does make me wonder how often you can change the names for certain things. in single player, I see no problem, but I can imagine it could become confusing pretty quickly if you constantly rename your towns and heroes. (or rename other people's towns) I'd be interesting in finding a system that works though (even if its just 'name the hero on hire). The benifit of adding titles midgame is if you have that 'lucky bastard' hero that seems to somehow not-d
I also hope we see not only a variety of terrains, but unique strategies and uses with those terrains. Here's a list of terrain ideas I posted earlier this year: https://forums.elementalgame.com/345423
lol. I'm the last post in that thread already. (other than you)
well, if you want to get back on topic (because you feel bad about it) then talk about spells. maybe there will be a wind storm spell that creates a tornado of some kind. I'd love to see a tornado rampage around enemy turf.
With alpha behind us, I should have more time (read: a few extra minutes per-day) to update twitter [e digicons];)[/e] Sorry for the lapse.
when you're busy, you're busy. The beta's just around the corner though. Can you really start resting now?
man, flying monsters are a pain. but not as much as the ones that can only be hurt by magic.
aww, I missed it. oh well.
