Fial plug on this (For now): http://forums.demigodthegame.com/354259/get;2236466 Just because I'm not sure if anyone actually saw it before. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

I like C&C:Generals simply because it's different, and it had decent gameplay. Especially if it was slowed down. I had no idea how fast the game actually was until I upgraded my computer. The only redeeming thing about C&C3 was Kane. The only redeeming things of RA3 is the soundtrack and the fact that it actually has better gameplay than C&C3, though not very good still. Some games I forgot in my original post: Shadow of the Colossus. How could I forget this? The old Tribes games. Played it long enough ago that I don't even remember which one I played. World in Conflict. Ehh... but the fact that it's the only RTS/RTT I've seen that rewards tactics beyond 'move blob here' makes me pretty fond of it. Plus it does have the best explosions yet. Honorable Mention: MechWarrior series. Barely played it an hour, but I've been t
Civ4's probability calculator was poorly written, by the way (and not always reflecting the truth).
Do you mean the actual battle calc? What annoys me is when I smash through dozens of units over and over again (In any game like this), and then one of those dozens gets a lucky hit in for massive damage. Had it happen in GalCiv2 where a standard stack I had killed dozens of times attacked, the enemy ships consistently dealing 0 damage, and then one of them randomly does 50 damage
Oh, look, an apple! *noms*
Well, I meant a generic food, not one that's actually specific. I just called it apples because I thought that would sound better than Poisoned Food. Anyways... random short-medium time delay 'til it takes effect? [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Might be a bit visually heavy, with oceans slowly seeping into the bottomless pit like the Niagara Falls, but hell yeah.
True, but you are also removing all the visual elements of the land or sea that was there.
(take THAT Moses!)
Thanks for the idea. May not be destructive, but: Parting of the Sea: Create a land bridge and stop water-borne units from crossing.
How would that actually look.. I mean, outside of the cloth map? Would we actually burn a thermite hole through the planet?
I'd just put it as a big, black, bottomless pit. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

I agree with my last post. [e digicons]>_>[/e] Edit: For those who miss the point (I won't name Luckmann here), I want more options. Like the ones in Supreme Commander. Only it would work better here, as the AI should be better, plus TBS is expected to be long. (I feel sorry for the Devs when it comes to my posts. I like options. Never enough options.) As it was said in another thread... "Hellfire" - Burns away a section of the world permanently. The cloth map for that area is burned away, leaving only charred edges. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
I've played the demo now, and yeah, you're right. Its like a combo paint-by-numbers and SimCity, and it doesn't seem like it will get much better.
I have to agree with this, plus, when I demoed it, one of the menus refused to open, so I could not advance the game and eventually lost. It's all about the look of the thing. $5 would be decent looking discount for a game. $1.50 makes them seem like cheap bastards trying to lure in people who don't see the normal price. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
When something seems like I should probably have left it out, I get rid of it. It comes without thinking, and then I get rid of some of it after thinking about it.
I know exactly what you mean. There's a lot of thing I've typed up that never made it too the forums. For example, I'm leaving one sentence out of this post and adding this one. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Not to beat a dying horse, but again, look at Dominions. You could specify what spells to cast during the battle.
This. It would be pretty idiotic to have a such a vital finite resource not be able to be controlled by the player. If it was like that, that would just be bad design. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
