Is sueing them even a possibility or are you guys going to have to just "let it slide"? It's really not right if you can't do anything at all about it and just have to take it.
Breach of contract. Doesn't mean it would be worth while to sue though.

I know you can install the game on your laptop & desktop. And as long as the two are both up-to-date (and nothing crazy is going on with the saved files) you should able to easily transfer saves from one machine to be used in another. Save files are probably stored under "my documents".
Well that's it Brad - better give us access now. Wait, there are game-codes for purchasing the game from Bestbuy?
I honestly can't remember. Are bodies removed from the tactical map? Or are we talking about the strategic map? How will necromancy spells work if bodies don't remain on the tactical map? If the computer had the resources to load the units initially for the battle, there is no need to remove them until the battle is over with.
we're talking about the sovereigns of NPC factions.
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember from Beta 4: if you kill an enemy sovereign their entire kingdom / empire is instantly removed from the map.
In beta 4 if you kill an enemy npc sovereign in your territory they are dead and their kingdom disappears.. I've got the game on steam. While I haven't completed it yet I can safely say that it is refreshingly unique and fun.
Not true. There were some invite-only beta testers. I preordered in February and played every beta that preordering gave me access to. Yet, I doubt I'll get to play tomorrow.
You beta-tested: you're a beta tester. This isn't complicated. Pre-orders would be the people who pre-ordered too late to beta test, but who have still purchased the game ahead of time.
a. If I pre-ordered and beta tested , am I beta tester or pre-order?
I think you just answered your own question.
Idea for new spell: anchor (or something to that effect). Prevents the unit it is cast on from teleporting (either on the map or from tactical battles). UI Suggestion: The moving circle on the morale bar doesn't really add anything - why not just use a bar and fill it based on the morale (the same way that the actions bar gets filled)? For what reason was "king of the hill" removed? Other than having a very out-of-place name...
I'm really, Really, hoping it doesn't take them forever to get us the proper tools we'll need.
I guess it depends on how they are going to allocate their resources. I imagine migrating everything into Python will be a pain in the ass (not difficult, just tedious).
I'd like to think this is due to the fact that you're basing your information off of the betas and that the actual release will not include such imbalances.
Beta is over. You cannot download it any more.
I think... that's why its called a strategy game Ultimately though if the really big rewards are as rare as I've been led to believe, while it may be irritating when it happens to you, I'd just chalk it up to experience and carry on. It wouldn't be nice to see Quests removed all together, after all!
Exactly my thoughts as well.
No No No, he's my slave, er..I mean Valued Employee. I need Python scripters for the mod worse than a Ethiopian kid needs a bowl of rice.
As a valued employee, what sort of benefits would I be likely to see? If it makes you any happier, I don't actually know python at this time. Only C, C++, PHP, ActionScript 3.0 and bits of Java.
the thing is, if there are 8 players and 8 AI opponents. by turn 200, you would be seeing possibly 20 or more battles a turn, this would drive me insane. turns would take 30 minutes to an hour apiece, talk about pacing problem! i just wonder if it is a game engine issue. it might be that the way the current game is programmed, you either watch all tactical battles or none at all. why would i want to watch every batt
that all sounds interesting.. heh heh especially the treachery part if done well it would add nicely to the game...
Hopefully - oh and I might also want to mod how spell books work (turning them in physical objects that can be stolen, etc). But again like I said, all of this would be done in my spare time.. of which there is little at the moment.

I loved the campaign, it was a lot of fun, but it was far from being a complete story.
Exactly. I thought the missions were great fun too. But only a very few actually progressed the story in any meaningful way. [spoilers] About 1/4 of the missions are devoted to making money and collecting obscure alien artifacts. The player has no idea why he i

I had plans to expand diplomacy, re-balance units, re-work the basic unit stats (str, int, con, etc), change how economies worked, add a paper-doll inventory / equipment system similar to Diablo 3 and (if possible) create a "treachery" mod allowing heroes, wives and dynasty children to betray their s

Just a thought: if the campaign is supposed to ease players into the game and explain game mechanics, won't it be terribly out-of-date?
One other thing I noticed they're doing -- they name every single person they train. Every guy.
How does that work for squads? I'm guessing the entire squad then shares the same name? Makes for a more sentimental attachment to one's army I guess if they take the time to name each guy. I'm assuming the army limit is applied to groups and not the number of individual units in an army?
I'm not even sure how I'd improve on Starcraft 2.
How about producing a (well written) campaign that is actually long enough to be considered a story? Instead we're charged $60 for 1/3 of a story. Of course the game is extremely polished, the individual races are fun & distinct and the multiplayer aspect is excellent.
Well you see: hair will start to grow in new places and you'll start to have these urg... OH, sorry. Totally misread the title. I'm guessing it will be announced.
I've no experience in modding - but plenty in design / programming. When the python starts coming out I think I'll definitely work on some projects in my spare time.
