i think he means that every time you research the warfare tech, it spits out an observer, then a forw obs, then a scout, then an adv scout, etc... maybe just an option to keep only the peasant and pioneer so the player doesn't get flooded with pre-made designs.

is the problem really that the AI doesn't scout or that it is not calculating risk accurately. even if you get into enemy territory, there is always the chance you can see the 700 attack rating and say "oh crap" and turn around. instead the problem is the AI has its sov see that rating and say "what the hell, let's do this" instead. :) and i'm not flaming elemental, i like it. just saying we don't need more carrots on the stick.

ive noticed that the ai doesnt seem to apply stat point level ups, or at least i couldnt tell on level 4+ AI sovs. and i had my stats set to give 5 str, 8 essence, etc...
There is the sov ability in creation for unholy mana (shard) Sovereign_Ability_Mana_Unholy but since you added holy mana also, did you mean to create one for that too?
about movement through forest being overpowered, i thought about it a little, if it is possible you could make forests=1 mp and the opposite of forests, desert = 2 mp.
honestly, if i could model, i would flip open a monster manual and go to town. i was thinking about this when i was mowing the lawn today. seems a hydra would be easy to make off the current dragons. also a chimera, again from a dragon, maybe a bear or wolf head (i havent seen a lion in game) beholders should be easy to model, orb + eye stalks = fun times. i would even volunteer to do the munda
i also get the level 3 quests to completely disappear after i complete one or two, when there were 20-30 visible on my map section and failure to trigger on the levels 1-2 quests. i've noticed that if it is a duplicate of a current quest, it won't trigger until you complete the current one.
do we have to do this for all bows?

This is the problem i foresee about setting ZOC to 0. I've already had instances where these types of instances were very near an enemy's ZOC and they swallowed up close to all. Had I not had a NAP or Alliance or was at war, then I would be screwed out of completing the quest if the instance had no ZOC. What is the argument for eliminating it?
well i pored through some of the other monster files. the generic spiders have a spawnrating of 2, so i assume that the higher it gets the later/less likely it is to spawn. that said, i guess i wont go over 12 since that is the highest number i've seen.
dont know if this was suggested or not, or if possible, but a modifier for the race to possibly not have the 2point movement cost through forest would make Elves seem unique in comparison to vanilla
anyone know what number here specifically means? dragons have a 12, is this chance of spawn or "toughness" ?
