You seem to be under the misconception that you get 1 of a resource by researching the tech. This is incorrect the research lets you see All of that resource that is hidden in the world. No it pretty much places the resources inside your territory. Getting those techs is one of the first thing I do when I start a new game. I always get at least 2 lev
I don't know. So far the new version even with the economy change is even easier. Its probably because I never farmed monsters I found that boring so I played the AI on equal footing in that regards. But now it seems like the AI doesn't know what to do anymore. By turn 100 on this latest game I was racking in 65gp a turn, was sitting at almost 196 power rating, and had already smashed 2 ai's who had only build one city. Magnar didn't connect up to his food. He built too far from it. And Relia
My biggest grip is now the AI is even easier to beat. Its making silly mistakes like not connecting up to food so staying at lvl 1 cities, and not prioritizing gold mines high enough. Its very simple minded right now it seems. I hope frogboy has time to work on the ai more. But I guess I probably won't be playing this much after Tuesday I guess, so he can take all the time he wants. Once I'm tired of Civ 5 I will patch this up and see whats changed.
Most the peoples who have spells missing have been proven to be running either the unofficial patch OR icecrowns particle spell effects mods. Both of those break the spell casting in 1.08. Get rid of your outdated mods!
They know, and like frogboy said its probably gonna take a while to get it completly resolved. My suggestion to you. Set autosave to save every other turn. I could set it to save every turn, but every other turn is good enough for me.
Quoting dragoaskani, reply 327You keep posting around that picture of the dragon surrounded by troops. As most people who have been watching the game knows that is from when the battles were gonna be semireal time. Such a thing doesn't make sense in the current system. Sure you could have more numbers of troops but at this point its purely aesthetic. Too bad it's still in the two page ad in my newly delivered PC Magazine.
Thats t
except Iron isn't needed to Win, sure it helps, but just like in Civ 4 if you don't have bronze or Iron, well shit that sucks but gotta work with what you got. That being said, there is something to be said for having a "balanced start" option like civ IV had for the players who can't handle having to think outside the box. 1 more point I should let you in on. You seem to be under the misconception that you get 1 of a resource by researching the tech. This is incorrect t
Except Venturi has 3x the output of a single iron mine.
i still got the patches before i registered the game.....but i bought it from impulse so..was it registered auto?
Should be, yes.
I think I replied to you before you edited it. And others could then just copy my quote and use it. ;p
You seem to forget that the iron resources that can be revealed by Adventuring techs.
Seriously has the internet created a world where people don't think they have to use manners anymore?
Yes.
Shards are supposed to be very rare now, so their will only be like 4-8 of them in the world rare. Of course they should up spells more then int. You can gain int every lvl if you wanted too.
Honestly mocking his use of AND is a rude thing to do. Yes he does come across rude, Stardock is obviously being proactive with the patches, they need help and direction. We should be positive and help them. How often do you get to have direct feed back actually taken into account? Fine bugs and problems, and make polite suggestions with well thought out responses.
Everyone knows I am rude. Thats not gonna change in the slightes
They have said before they are done tolerating rudeness directed at them. Its 0 tolerance now. Lock on sight. Play nice and they will listen. Simple as that. You also didn't use and 100 times. I'm so proud of you. ps you are still being borderline insulting in some ways. Maybe they will forgive you though.
I am unable to recruit Janusk. He also shows the speech bubble with canceled line. I though he was supposed to always be part of the start game?
He is still affected by Charisma I believe. So if you play a custom hero with 5 charisma you can't recruit him.
First one was commented on a couple hours ago and is being slipstream fixed tomorrow. The other is first I have heard of it though.
And you use and too much.
I prefer option #2, that they don't associate with inexperienced adventurers.

yeah there is a dev comment on it in the 1.08 changelog thread. apparently they are npcs that are too high spawn lvl to recruit or something like that. I forgot exactly what he said. You can go look if you wanna know more hehe.
Remember if you are using a 1.07 save game the default behavior is to use the old 1.07 xml thats tied to the save game. Start a new 1.08 game and see what happens then.
