The simple fact of the matter is a computer that could run civ 5 would cost no more then 400 bones. Mind you it wouldnt be as beefy as mine or other peoples rigs, but 400 bucks is a fair deal for a machine that those kinda gamers tend to get 4-5 years outta.

14 days...*convulses on floor* need ele...*passes out*
I would take your diploma back for a new one. They spelled "Engineer" wrong on it....
Civ 5 has very modest requirements, dual core systems were available in 05, you can't expect pc developers to keep building for antiquated technology. If you don't have a dual core or better its time to either upgrade or stop calling yourself a gamer.
I believe its just been buried a bit under the hype of SC2 and ciV coming out this year. Thats okay though good year for my gaming. Almost done with sc2, (I dont multi much anymore) 2 weeks till Ele, then another 4 weeks and my ciV gets here. That should all tide me over till The old Republic and Guild Wars 2 release next year. Oh and fear 3 is this year too isnt it....hmm I think thats all the good ones unless I missed one...
Hmmm. Sorry, I had PC with 6800 for some time and then notebook with 7300 - and the notebook was slightly better.
Quoting dragoaskani, reply 6 Or you could read in the Dev Journals that many of these things have been fixed. You assume much and it just makes an ass out of you and me. nasebee knows what he's talking about... listen up.
Not the brightest bulb on the tree eh?
Quoting kyogre12, reply 4 make a decent game that isn't a clone of King's Bounty. It is all well and good when something is different from something else to expand the enjoyability and give new experiences, but when something is blatantly subpar in vital areas of the game then you should be concerned instead of using superficially appealing words like "clone" which creates an illusion that you made some kind of point.[/qu
If the game is really important than help the developers by searching for bugs and reporting them. I have found the easiest way to discover bugs is doing multiples of the same task. For example start a randomly generated map, then after it's created start another then after it's created started another... soon you'll see there's a bug. Another example is start a new game then after the world has been created start another new game a
Found a worse one for you then the Star Craft 2 forums in some ways frogboy. Over at biowares website for the old republic they unveiled 3 new playable races and there are a bunch of whiners just calling the Sith Pureblood, Zabrak and the other one I forgot just lazy recolored humanoids. People will always find something to bitch about. Oh well. 17 days to go.
I think my I7-920, 4 gigs of coursair ram, and 2 ati 5770s in Xfire can't wait to get this puppy on my 23" widescreen at 1920x1080. :) I love my pc and it didn't cost that much to build it about 5 months ago. :D
Because you are totally playing the final version of the game...*eye roll*
So yes, it does happen. Unless you want to call me a liar.
I can play all my DLC for those games without logging into the servers at all. So I guess I have to call you out.
Quoting awuffleablehedgie, reply 3The problem with Bioware is that they actually BAN. Yes. BAN. you from playing your game if the developers or moderators want to. Wow, that's insane.
whats more insane is that you believe it...
I know people have been ragging over stupid things lately. I understand your annoyance and frustration with their petty comments. I just wanted to create a small thread to thank you for your work and I am excited to hold my copy of Elemental in my hands in a few short weeks. That being said. I think I will make a frog the size of a dragon as a monster in my game and have it eat whiny villagers and what not. :D Cheers Bud!
Hes got a point some of you guys are whiny little bitches. Its the reason I quit going to the Sins of a Solar Empire forums (that and people can't seem to handle cold, brutal honesty.) The game will be good, if you don't like it or just want to moan. Then don't let the door hit you where the good lord split ya.
Fantasy Wars and Elven Legacy are trite garbage deserving of the recycle bin only. But to each their own. I can't comment on Elemental Since I never did preorder since I want a Boxed Copy and like to spend my dollars locally in my community when at all possible. Though I will be picking up my Copy on August 27th when I get off work. Sure I will be 3 days behind but I will have a book to read in the bathroom while its installing. :)
I too am worried about not having any limitations when creating a new race/faction with XML. It feels like cheating when you don't have any points restrictions and can do whatever you want. If that is the only way to create a new faction, I will probably have to skip custom faction creation myself (which sucks) and wait for the modding community to post a package of balanced new factions. Meanwhile I'll just have to play with the pred
necro much?
lol I loved that whole thing frogboy. Especially the flying nun! (or whatever the dirty tramp was)

I'm on the fence about buying the game now. I want it but at same time I am annoyed that the only way I can get the extra civ is by getting the digital download version, which takes much much longer to install then a dvd would...I am tempted to just wait for the pirates to crack it since I only play single player and if I gotta download the fing thing I might as well download it for FREE.
I was thinking that quests would be initiated something like this. You'd find a hut or whatever it would trigger the quest and if accepted, a new object on the map would be generated where the player would go to for the next part of the quest.
So like the Sage Huts in Heroes of Might and Magic 5? Those worked well I see no reason not to use a similiar premise.
And when the pirates move to XBOX 360, guess where the DRM sharks will go. A sticker for whoever guesses right. no replacing RTS's/MMORPG's though. That will remain.
xbox 360 games are already pirated everyday, its pretty easy I hear. If I had a modded 360 I might do it just to spit in microsofts face. But I Don't own a console anymore and have no plans to again anytime soon.
