Yes. Magic is reduced. I think gem sites are rarer, and troops are less magically strong. Magic is strongest EA, and it gets weaker as you get later. I do not know the exact mechanics. Late Age seems less popular, probably because it is lower magic, and Ermor and R'yleh probably do not help when it comes to MP. If you start near one of those nations, even if you take them out, you will probably not be very competitive in the end game due to their pop killing dominion. Tophat, if y

I have no experience with map editing, but I am sure I can figure it out. When there is a head count, I can generate a random map of the appropriate size and assign some fixed starting provinces.
For PBEM, llamaserver is an easy way to go. The details can be found here . It is a server that hosts the game. Everyone emails their turn to the server, when all turns are received, it processes them and returns the new turn files. It seems to be a fairly popular way to do it. We are using it for the Elementalists game without any trouble. I am going to sit this game out, but if you would like to use llamaserv
News of the Pangaean declaration of war has reached my court, and Lanka stands behind our ally Omniphagus, master of the great champion Hanan'el. We hereby announce that Pangaea be an enemy of the people of Lanka. All aid that can be given will be given to the giants of Hinnom in the fight against our enemies!
Then dance for your organ grinder. Just be aware, he will cast you aside when he decides you are no longer
The time of revelry is over. Too long has the nation of Pangea remained in the wilderness, while the horrific acts of the Hinnom giants have gone unchecked. It is time to put an end to their barbarism and treachery. The wine will be put away, and there will be no more celebration until this menace is eliminated.
Well, I think there is a difference between a vet playing his best, and a vet who gets involved in a newb game so he can wipe the floor using overpowered tactics that are difficult for the inexperienced to counter. Of course, it is a fine line, and not something an observer can really judge. As you said, certain nations rely on an early rush to get started. Only the vet in question would know his intent. I would like the think that people here are respectful enough that a vet would not crash
I updated the time to 48 hours. This will start next turn. The current turn remains 24 hours.
For anyone who is interested, Tophat1812 is getting another game started here .
I will get in if it can be late era, and if I can play R'yleh. Otherwise I will wait until I have time to create another game. That is the next race I want to try, and if I get involved in another game, it will be a while before I am free to add another.
I got it in on time!
Thanks. I postponed to be sure. I had to get in bed, but I did not want any stales if they could be prevented. Is 24 hours still working for everyone? Games are commonly moved to 48 hours by turn 30. I like the regular progress of getting in a turn every day, but I do not want anyone to play badly because there is not enough time to do all they need. Post here or PM if you need more time
Postponing 12 hours. No turn from TC yet, only 3 hours to go.
I am interested, but I am waiting to see if my other game picks back up soon. It has dwindled down to a turn every two weeks. If the admin does not adjust the hosting time soon, I may find a sub. If the admin does step up the hosting time, my C'Tis lizards will probably be crushed by Ermor's hordes soon.
I guess everyone is taking a day off. I think I saw a tumbleweed blow across the thread.
Email updated. Turn resent. Let me know if it works. Hosting postponed 24 hours.
I will soon be away from any computer access, and I will not have access before the turn is set to host. Since Michael has not yet submitted a turn, I am going to postpone hosting 4 hours. Michael, please let me know if you have received the .trn file or if you are having any problems.
I am not home right now. I will not be home for another 3 hours or so, then I will do my turn.
They will be visible to the poo flingers, and I am sure they will thank you for finding the sites for them.
It would not be appropriate to do now, but if Arco is knocked out, I would be curious to know what went wrong. It seems that with such high research, you should be able to field some effective troops with mage support, or summon some creatures of awesomeness.
louist, I see you have gotten your turn in. Should I go ahead and change the email address so Michael will receive the next .trn file?
Have a safe trip, and enjoy yourself.
I have to read your privacy policy first.
I would need you to PM me your email address for the switch. Louist, what would be your last day?
I will let you guys handle it over PMs. Louist can choose who he wants for a sub, if it does come to that. He can fill that person in on the situation. With the research, it does seem like he might be able to turn things around. I do not know the total situation, though.
Would anyone reading be interested in taking over Arco, if needed? You would be playing what seems to be a losing position. As such, your task might be to inflict as much damage on Arco's enemies as possible before dying, unless things can be somehow turned around.
I have not used communions. I would expect the info card you get when you click on the mage on the battle screen to show the increased magic paths.
