About the only thing that could be fairly shown with the map is the picture of that map without any province IDs, or marked capitals, or anything. Go here and find Random map: Hieronica, and you will see it. Capitals are randomly placed, and the only way to find them is through exploration. At this point, I do not think anyone knows where all the caps are, and I doubt they would share that sort of info if they di

The denizens of the territories around Pangea welcome him with open arms. Once the satyrs show them how much fun they can have, they gladly join in the revelry. The lands flourish, with crops producing more than ever before. Is that smoke we smell to the south? Perhaps there is a bonfire. Maybe we should go see.

131 land, 19 sea. That is 13 land provinces per person. I think you ended up with a bad position to start in. In the future, I will probably look at a map with fixed start positions if I set up another game. Not that it helps you much now. This is the first game I have set up, so I have learned a bit about the options. There are a few things I would do differently if setting up a game in the future.

I gathered that it was an accidental attack. I have had the same happen in another game. I had not seen your post when I made mine. I was just advising her to respond, dead pretender or not, so she did not end up in a war she did not want at this time.

Just another note about rules and such. It is considered bad form to stop playing or go AI when losing. Fight to the end. Even if you cannot turn it around, you should at least try to inflict as much pain as possible on the nation that is taking you out.

I do not have time for it, but some people like to take screenshots, and even video of battles, and later post AARs (after action reports). I am not sure if this would be the best forum to do it, but if any of you are into that sort of thing, you might want to start now taking screen shots and making notes. I would not suggest actually posting anything until after the game is completed, to avoid giving away your strategies.

Considering people live in different time zones, have different work schedules, and different family commitments, I see no reason to punish anyone for being the last to get their turn in. It might be easy for someone to do their turn at 10 in the morning, someone else might not be able to do their turn until 11 PM. On the other hand, if someone stales (does not submit a turn) repeatedly, that affects the game. In such a situation, I would look for a sub, and failing that, I woul

Score graphs give some information, but they can also be misleading. Army size does not necessarily mean quality, and different types of troops can be better or worse depending on the situation. Some strategies rely on a few elite troops, other strategies will make use of hordes of cheaper troops. Of course, a particular nation's strategy will also depend on whether you are early-, mid-, or late game. Also, good diplomacy can help keep you alive if you nation is otherwise weak, an
All of the 2H files are showing as having been received now. Is there something that needs to be done to move on to the second turn?
I turned off autohost in case there were any problems due to the duplicated first turn files. I did not want the game to try to host with bad .2h filesfrom the wrong .trn and end up with weird errors. I will give it the command to host and turn quick host back on now.

Game is restarted. I was the filthy cheater. You will get a new turn file for turn 1, and the old file will not matter. Everyone make sure you are using the second file that was sent. If you started anything with the first turn, delete your .2h file. If the turn says Pangea cheated, it is the wrong turn. I turned off quickhost. If anyone sends in a turn for the bad file by mistake, let me know.

Sorry you cannot play, abom. I guess I will start the game, then. Edit - Your admin is an idiot, and he forgot to turn off mods when creating his pretender. Do not worry about sending out turns until this is fixed.

It is not on a timer yet. After pretenders are in, I will set the timer for 24 hours. It will send out a reminder email. There are a few things that are considered to be exploits, some are debatable. I am going on the assumption that, with us being newbies, we do not know the exploits well enough to worry about them. If Atlantis gets the crappy start, we can restart. That is not a problem. Diplomacy can be done through PMs here. That is probably the best

Keep your word means if you agree to a nonaggression pact, you do not attack without giving notice.Typically, they are made with a three turn period between the breaking of the pact and the time that attacking is allowed. You are free to negotiate whatever you want. If you agree to a trade, such as gems for items, you actually make your trade. If you do not want to enter into a binding agreement, then do not enter any. You do not have to meet in game to contact. I pers
