I was refering to the person that wanted the game not to be in windowed mode when they reduced the resolution. I completely understand the issue you are having and the poor quality of an LCD screen scaling. I know heavenfall has changed some of the UI stuff, maybe he can help you out.

I can confirm that there is performance increase here. Still get the horizontal tearing when reacing max fps. Maybe add an option in the game for v-sync as adjusting it in the nVidia config fixed this tearing.

The magic formula that I've been working on unsuccessfully really is to redesign the waterfall tile. So far I can get the waterfall tile to always never float, but the visual effects (the water splashing and mist rising from the rocks) do not cooperate. Is this a tatical map bug, where there are not enough positions for the number of units involved with the combat. There were increases to the number of defending units just recently. I would say that for tatical city battles there needs to be at least 15 slots available... 9 for a full city and 2 for being a city and I think you can get 3 or 4 more units from fort upgrades. This may be the problem that we are seeing here.

Do the AI bribe each other to go to war with factions they are going to war with? It's something that I can do, pay loads of gildar / influence to get the AI to attack another nation. Do the AI just have loads of money to spare and bribing each other to go to war?

It's only there to conserve battery. I tend to play these games plugged in the wall, so I don't worry about battery consumption loss. but if you play without your plug you may consider not forcing all programs to run solely on the nVidia card.

With the map revealed I didn't notice any improvement in performance (in fact maybe slightly less performance). The game has roughly the same FPS performance. I'll play the game to check the possible AI improvements.
