There are so many ways to accomplish what Kongdej is suggesting. 1. Copy the other factions unit - only if you have all the appropriate equipment. Sometimes that substitution won't make a good unit without those traits. I don't think the AI would be equiped to make that decision. (but if it's possible, it would be nice) 2. Have designed unit packs for people to download. 3. Have a community of players decide to post their designed unit packs for downlo
Honestly I'm getting fustrated. SD claims the AI doesn't cheat, but how does it grow so powerfull so fast. Why is it always multiples of my power rating?
The AI starting points do not have the same luxuries that you have around your starting points. For example, the AI has many many more monsters to deal with around their starting points (thus more xp and loot). Secondly, the AI probably does a lot more diplomacy than you each turn making negotiated deals all th

You build up and you defeat all these titans.

It was an avertised bonus during the beta. This is the only faction to have road building with the pioneers. Every other faction can get hero's to build roads if they take the appropriate traits down the governor path.
All gameplay strategies I point to Tuidjy posts (as frogboy the AI programmer follows and learns from his strategies).
One of the AI you have is Kraxis. If that was the AI with the jump this makes sense because of the rush ability and wealthy combine to make pioneer rushing a viable option. Don't forget that the AI do trade tech with each other (something that we may fail to do) and so they move up the tech tree quicker in this regard. I don't know exactly what is going on with the AI that is why Tuidjy is presenting some findings with challenging to show some of these issues arising and they are addr
also is there a reason why every ai decides to attack me? they all gang up on me. doesnt seem right.
Yes... it's probably due to diplomacy and the AI bribing the other AI to attack you. You have the same options, but you probably use your money for other things or don't feel it's worth the cost. Plus it's hard to say what you mean by 13 groups of high level... what is high level to you... level 10, level 5, level 15 and where was your own units?
I love to play this game as an ironman. That said I do as you put it 'save scum', but this is to check out different tatics within the game and see some of the different portions that I would be too afraid of trying in a real game. I also 'save scum' when my kids decide to push a button on me and now I have to live with that choice... or the game glitches out. I really don't like playing all my games on 2-year old difficulty (which is probably harder than

You need to work along the cliffs. You should post a screenshot. If there is a gap of 2 you can produce a landbridge. Also, save the game and you can cheat... add -cheat to the end of your shortcut. Then you could use ctrl + T to teleport the unit to that location. This will at least fix your problem.
He doesn't need earth shards... need level 3 earth spell
Note that you only need to run adminstrator mode once for the changes to take place. You should be able to run it in normal mode after that to see your trees.
They only work when you have taxes. Think of the 12 city gildar as taxable income. If you want 40% of that income set your taxes to collect 40%.
A basic strategy that makes the game run a little easier is to ensure that you have enough cities to compete. ctrl - N is also another option that you may or maynot use. For example if you have a poor starting location this could lead to difficulties the rest of the game for which you may not be prepared. There are always cheats you could try. Till you figure out what you are doing wrong, for example you can watch what the AI is doing to be so successful.
Quoting Chibiabos, reply 60Is it just the .exe that changes? None of the other data files with the game? Yep, just private code changes. Thank you very much for doing this for us.
The in-game hiergamenon is useful (not searchable, but things are listed alphabetically). Look under equipment
if you mod the core files you may need to run in admin mode once for the game to detect the changes.... don't know why, but it seems to help.
It goes with the formula If you have M champions and the battle gives you X experience then your experience goes as such Each champion / sovereign gets --- (X / M) xp Each Troop (non champion / sovereign) gets --- (X / M) * .5 xp After this is given out the bonuses like training or potential is calculated with their appropriate number to the troop involved.
(Attack-Defense) times # of Units not (Attack times # of Units) - Defense
I'm not sure this person even understands how this game works in the attack and defense department. First off there is no multiplication of units, each attack is computed seperately in the stack. Namely when the card say 1 - 3 attack X 3 units... it's really roll 3d3 and that is the attack (after each member of the unit rolls an attack chance). The attack is computed as (Att

Hi ReturnOfTheZack, Your post does make some sense. I don't see a problem with pioneer spam. I may be one of the few who do not choose to spam pioneers, but instead work towards high production buildings. My first city I tend to build a pioneer out of the shoot, because I know by turn 11 I'll have a pioneer and see a new spot to settle. But if I build my first city next to a forest, I build a lumbermill since my first pioneer will be out by turn 13 doing it that way. If I
No. Although it would be nice to have such a feature.
