And the "moderately high" replay value was way off. 8 unique races and a serious map generator force me to conclude a very high replay value.
don't forget the customization of those sovereigns and races.

I'd be glad to tell you if general performance has improved. I usually get around 25 fps on my nVidia 555m card. But with the map unveiled I can see it drop to less than 10 easily, by finding the appropriate spots. It's not uplayable for me, but I can tell you about general increased performance if there is any. Load times can be length as well, I can time them too.
I to have issues with the time scale, but there are major flaws as Chibiabos points out. The day / night cycle I like and the wonder building is not something that can be done in a month. The real problem seems to be that the size of the world vs. time scale. It take 1 year to travel to an outpost 8 tiles away. But if you consider the terrain is rugged (hiking does take some time over uneven terrain in the appropriate direction and stay fit for a fight takes some time. Each squar
I'd be glad to beta test for you with the AI changes... is there recommendations on how you would like us to evaluate things for you?
or you can just crush everyone militarily (easiest option on challenging)
Well maybe for you... but there are multiple strategies on challenging.
Well that is a problem. It should be set to none and click on end turn. That should do it for you.
In the tutorial you can raze your founding city and will be unable to finish the rest of the tutorial. I just waited the 5 turns and now I'm unable to build a pioneer to finish the tutorial. I know the fix is Just don't do that... but maybe you want to disable the raze button for the purposes of the tutorial if that's possible. Failing that at least put back grain when you do Raze the initial town.
No. You get to download it from stardock.com
Here's a screenshot from the nVidia control panel. Check here to see if you are using the nVidia card Under 2. This should be set to use High-Performance NVIDIA processor. I've this set as default for all my programs, it drains battery faster that is why they set it off by default.
Will this game ever stand on it's own as opposed to sitting in the shadow of MoM? I agree that 50 hours is barely enough to scratch the surface of the game, but it is enough for somebody to form a decent oppinion. The score of 82 is not bad, we'll see what's next on the reviews to come.
I'd say that for a reviewer that gets addicted to a game and continue to be addicted to the game after a long while, the game should give the game a 10 / 10. It doesn't make sense for anything less. But if you play a game and you decide to stop after awhile because it annoyed you then a lower score would be appropriate. For example if the game makes you rage quit, well then a 10 / 10 is a little high. I agree that there is some work to be done with the gam
I assume that you set your taxes to none for this part.

It feels like you should be able to recruit any human mob.
I don't feel the bandit lord should be able to recruit any human mob. I'm fine with this mechanic as it is, although I think there should be more distinction between Bandits and Ruffians. My impressions are that Ruffians are not there to loot people, but more or less territorial thugs. Bandits are there for the money more m
@seanw3; I think you should update your mod installation instructions. For example you don't need -localdata anymore Also if you are changing core files you need to run admin mode once for the game to detect it.
but I like Procipinee when she is muscular.... [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Does you vid card run optimus? If so you may need to set it to run your 540M card in the nVidia control panel.

Which is another complaint I have.. lol
True that... I find that I can manage a pioneerish spam by making it the first thing I build in each new city. It gives me a functioning empire to begin with and I'm not forced into a small corner. After I have about 5 cities I'm pretty happy and leads
Is there a seperate executable I need to download to run the game in 64 bit mode?
No. the game automatically checks this and runs with Large Address aware if you are running 64 bit. Don't believe me check to see if you have pedestrains when you zoom in close, this option is disabled for 32 bit systems. But they haven't released a 64 bit .exe which I wouldn't mind seeing this with some extra content. Last I heard

Out of curiousity Fistalis, what world difficulty / AI difficulty are you playing at? I do not play the way Tuidjy plays, because he plays on riduculous or higher a lot and needs to min / max to be competitive. I myself play on challenging a lot of the time and find the game just about right for me. I don't care for the AI to join up the way they do, it's annoying at best. (Also, if you find yourself with what you feel is a 'bad start', might I suggest that you press c
A thousand times this. I find it preposterous that you can score a game on a 1 to 10 scale to begin with.
I agree... they should have a series of survey questions for each aspect of the game. But this system can be just as abused anyway. There is no good way to get voluteer data to be necessarily good data.
It is from his/her inv from .xml that I've looked at. But it can be set to anything within the .xml.
They have all complete different scales and you can't adjust scale, rotation and position with keyboard shortcuts.
Before you place an object, you can do the following: If you hold down shift and scroll mouse wheel you rotate the object. If you hold down ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel you adjust scale. I would like to see some improvements, but I'm not gonna hold my breathe on this one.
