I'm in on this one. Defense Grid was great. Hopefully they get enough for the sequel, because multiplayer Defense Grid would be wild.

But always online discriminates against poor kids whos parents cant afford an internet connection. Its already hard enough to find a good selection of videos games in a store. Sooner or later games in stores wont exist at all..and that will unfairly box out a section of gamers. Steam is an irresponsible choice for the future

What is called 32 bit was in fact 36 bit since 1995 ( previous century !!! )... with PAE, limit of ram was around 64/128 gb ram... more that enough for any game... devs have never support it because desktop version of windows was limited to 4gb due to licensing and that only with server version of windows OS, it was possible to use the full power...[/quote]
Does this mean there's a 64 bit version of the game? I don't see how you can add 64 bit DLC to a 32 bit version of the game, and I *really* don't see how DLC could be used to make the game 64 bit given just how significant a change that actually is. If the 64 bit version is already planned, then by all means use the extra power to do crazy awesome things in DLC.

After the mess that was the Demigod launch, I was looking forward to playing some multiplayer WoM, figuring they can't possibly screw that up again. So my best friend and I bought, downloaded, and were looking forward to playing together... Oops. There's not a lot to be said that hasn't already been said. I was around here not long after the website opened looking forward to the game, and we know what happened. I hear FE is finally rounding into shape, but it's
Still a slow way of doing it. It's really hard to finish the class story and not hit 50 unless you ignore everything else on Corellia... and I was 50 on Voss. :P Space missions also give tons of XP. Trying to farm Flashpoints is probably one of the slowest ways you can do it. If you've got them unlocked, the Ilum/Belsavis dailies are good too (at least for Republic characters, don't know what the Imperial equivalent of Belsavis is). Not sure you can unlock Belsavis
If it's got mod slots, you can mod it. In my experience you only get Synthweaving patterns from REing items if it's something you know how to make. Could be unlucky in terms of prototypes, don't know. But I don't think thats how it works anymore.
I hear there's some Warcraft something or other that charges for a subscription and somehow the games market has survived.
It's a lot more then $0. The question should simply be a matter of if you're getting value for that subscription, and I'm quite happy with what I'm getting right now. Content is expensive, and what you see in F2P MMOs is a significantly lower quality of content as a result (and in the case of LotRO, a change in how it's designed since they switched).
Also, the Republic is under represented in this thread.
Swiss Knight, what hat is that and do you remember where you got it? I have a friend who is looking for that style of hat.
Pretty much same as Heavenfall. It's still there, but I haven't bought anything using it in quite a while and most of my existing stuff I was able to transfer off one way or another (the remaining stuff being a couple indie things I can't move without rebuying and Stardock stuff which presumably will appear in the new SDC). I really enjoyed Alderaan, but that might be due to the Consular class storyline more then anything else. Those can vary wildly in quality between classes and planets.

We (Stardock and Ironclad) want the multiplayer to be compelling (lots of stats, match making, leaderboards, achievements, in game chat, voice over IP) basic stuff these days.
