As long as there is beta I don't care if it's fun or not. I'm getting some serious anxiety problems about it right now.
Well it's not like this is anywhere close to vaporware considering the people behind it, I'm more worried by far about a bunch of awesome indie games.
SnallTrippin
If I decide to put some real time into it I might not make a MOD per say but setup a bunch of HIGH-level techs/magic..but im lazy so we'll see.
Ah, did not know we were creating a legal document, my bad. Also- Isn't RA3 EA? I played that (A little anyway) and I don't remember any bad DRM, I could be wrong about it being EA though.
I was asking, heh.
Agreed. Doubly agreed astrath, I forsee many complaints about the 'game' in beta.
For you guys with the lists...you know the first one on the list..."It does not inconvenience the user" Well, you really don't need anything after that. Or else we could go on ad nauseum.
Speaking of Bungie (Someone posted a link a while back) are any of those old Bungie tactical games open source or have a community still? The ones where you fought the undead with bomb throwing dwarves and swordsman, etc and it had all the fun gibetts of people being hacked apart.
Scars is actually not nearly as early as the Zombie game.
I'm at work... off the next two days (Counting Monday now) and then back to work Wednesday night...so it'll probably come out like 9-10pm EST Wednesday, just as I go to work for the week.
...Shadowrun. Also, again I have to point out, that in this paticular universe/world, the magic is in so few individuals, and makes them SO powerful, that it wouldn't inhibit tech advancment over-much, if at all in most cases..
OP ANSWER: Eventually. But I think it will be fun, outside the game, like what kevinlrt sayd - It will give us ALL sorts of ideas to discuss in the forum to make the game PERFECT. Well..awesome anyway.
Dude, if you think that's clear at all, I want what you got. That's classic burnout explanation sentence, no offense.
Where is Stardock located? That's what I thought.
Pnakotus, have you played Empire?? Anyway, I meant the tactical AI. I've also had a much better time diplomatically...although there's some big problems they're hoping to fix in next patch for Campaign AI. Anyway..
...technically it's next week... :-( EDIT - Wow that sad face looks ALMOST as sad as I am. (At least I updated Impulse now)
Quoting SnallTrippin, reply 65 Remember, you don't have to marry people off either, you can (hopefully) just give your son a city and make him a vassal (Hopefully with more loyalty) and let him choose who to marry, w/e. Or maybe make them heroes by giving each of them some magic. Look at history... having daughters or sons as vassals was not helpful in ensuring loyalty, qui
http://scarsofwargame.com http://www.irontowerstudio.com/ Mature RPGs in development, could be A+. And a forum that discusses a bunch of AWESOME upcoming (If they dont vapor) RPG titles. http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=0569cf23a8f70631
I meant the developers, but yeah close enough.
Quoting pseudomelon, reply 15 Well, that's sort of how Supply and Demand economics work, isn't it? Unfortunate, but that's just the way it is. Whoa, was that one thought through? What is the "supply" on a digital distribution? The supply = Infinite because there is no limit to the number of times it can be copied. Which makes what happen on a standard supply vs demand equati
EDIT - Oh man, Total War AI? Oh dear. These are the games where single province nations will declare war on giant neighbours they had a treaty with for no reason other than 'diplomacy engine' = 'kill the player'. On hardest it's cheating to all hell too, and it's STILL hopeless.
The "RTS AI", as I said above, can SOMETIMES be good.
Yeah...or said it once at least, but I could just be stupid. Now at least I can understand some things up there.
...and in there comes Piracy. Tis a balancing act indeed.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/music/chi-heroes_honorsep13,0,1934409.story Crazy. Some interesting quotes. ""I've seen too many people that, for five hours, or whatever, on a battlefield were heroes, and then they spent the rest of their life patting themselves on the back and ignoring their family, ignoring their wife, ignoring their children
It all depends on the time base of a turn Stowe, it doesn't take 6 months, or 3 months, or a month, or a week to raze a city. It takes a few hours. Fire is crazy like that. EDIT - With, of course, more time being taken if you get the citizens out...althoguh usualy if you're gonna raze a city your troops have already messed up the citizen population pretty badly..
...why are you calling NPCs PCs? I am confused. Just call them neutral NPCs or something. EDIT- I thought we controlled the channler's (PC) children? Unless we give them a city and make them a vassal of course.
