I wonder if I'll be able to get a job creating back stories for games once my novel is published.
SnallTrippin
I actually really like the cartoony graphics, although better is always better- as long as we can do a lot of deforming the world, etc. Also I too would like to see that pic full sized. :-(
Left 4 Dad for shooter (though I prefer Modern Combat) and Hegemonia (If it's the space game it's pretty good, but Stardock's is better.)
You should be able to get mana from your subjects if you set yourself up as their god.
Bear cavalary is only beaten by Dragon knights...all your names have been added to the bear cavalary enemies list and shall be watched closely..
I really hope this game meets 20% of my expectations.
Well you have to know most of the core audience is going to want 'sophisticated'. I know I REALLY REALLY want as much complexity as possible in EVERY facet of the game. However, you should probably put a 'dumbed down' option so you can sell to more people. But please leave us our shiney fun hats. EDIT- Also those map screenshots alone make me feel sick to my stomach with hunger for the game. Plz now?
I'm still waiting to buy Entrechment sometime so I can go back to multiplayer..sadly too much elsewise to do.
Is this topic still viable? I could maybe come up with something. I just replaced my old 8800GTX with a 285. Which I quite like...got to love Evga's lifetime warranties too.
I have no pre-ordered but I probably will as soon as I hear something relatively fun and playable is out. I would pre-order now but I'm a poor writer...unless I sell a novel...and it sells well.... Anyway I will def be pre-ordering when I have grounds to actually be able to play something. :-) EDIT- I come to these forums pretty often but is there a mailing list so we can be told when a playable-ish version is ready for pre-order ppl?
It could happen on consoles. But really my level of knowledge about the ways this could be accomplished isn't enough to make other answers much more than guesses. (That and im tired.)

Not to mention what I'm sure some smart person would distribute viruses that way. But yeah, you're an IT specialist...you know what your talking about I guess. /S Well, yes. If you launch any game with an exe file, you're already giving all access you can possibly give to that company. They don't need anything else besides
Well duh, they put all their income into company infrastructure. Lol

Man that's sad. I personally never got really interested in D-G, although I've got Gal and SoE (I think both are Stardock?) but this paticular game (I dont like most RTS's) was sorta out there. However I use torrents to get all sorts of stuff and I've seen the UNGODLY (Yeah, it's a pun give me a break) amount of people getting the 'hot' game of the week/month. People are really losing money. Sadly, there's that word again, I don't think copy protection actually HELPS a
I like the idea of another unit being able to be appointed for political stuff. But then u have to remember that unit could be bribed, enchanted possibly which could lead to some very dire problems...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominions_3 It's sort of like Elemental but board game style. Really interesting game with some similar concepts and a pretty good spell repitore/ heros can be wounded- lose eyes etc - and you can have artifcats that bring them back as liches if they die, tons of cool stuff.
The mountain peaks (blocking flying) would have to be very small area or magical in nature for me to get behind. How do we know most of these won't be in though? Mostly I want to campaign for magic being able to make any terrain type as well.
Also of course this game looks great. I've still have Masters of Magic and I remember the joy in trying to turn one of my guys into a god like destroyer with crazy stats and items...and now being able to carve and shape the world! Awww...good times.
Just want to give a round of applause to the Devs for keeping us so well informed. I've been looking forward to this game since I first heard about it a few months ago, keep up the good work!
