OP: I like this idea, but only as an option as I believe many people might not like it.

Glad I read this thread again. w00t. Of course now I'll have to stay up when I get home, eat breakfast, get the mail (A hotplate!) and wait for the beta to open up..so I can download it..look around for a minute at the map and not be able to do anything, and then go to sleep. Sadly no sarcasm was used in the making of this thread.
Well, I'm back at work tonight so I imagine it'll come out sometime when I'm sleeping in the mornings/afternoons..sigh. Sure nothing to do in the 'game', but I still want it...
Well, again, with mods no reason you couldn't create these type of things post haste. Also even with powerful artifcats people can die and lose them...although I remember having a hero back in the hayday of MoM (I havn't been able to do it playing now..sad) that had a ton of awesome items and could destroy stacks by himself (I'm pretty sure I just sent him around map by himself..it was a long time ago).
Getdataback or some such program (I'll check when I get home) can get back ALL (Vast majority) of your data. I had a 0 RAID fail (Or 1? whichever is the one that is striped) and with getdataback (or whatever it's called) and a program to reconstruct the raid virtually I got access to everything. Of course it was like a terra of info so I only grabbed what I really needed.

But there's no real way to tell how efficent/good at a given job until they're actually working, and if you hire the baby people/illness people/whatever, and they suck...you can't fire them. Because you will get sued to hell. Meh.
Necromancer could just be a 'channeler' with very little essence.
Beta 2D: Stardock hosted persistent universe game (persistent dynasties) Must. Know. More.
OMG, I didn't even notice that...Imagine...a 100-1,000 player persistant (One turn per day?) game? ...Probably just you can bring your dynasty of channeler/some heroes from game to game though, which is still damn cool. EDIT- As for AI, I believe someone already said t
Maybe let trade posts pop up themselves on top of intersections, so a busy road might have taverns alongisde it or roads will deviate from the shortest route to pass through an oasis in the desert. If the intersections are in your territory you can tax it but if its in neutral territory an independent trade city might appear there with its own army. An easy way to starve this city would be to embargo it and block the roads leading to your enemies
They need to build in stronger defensive clauses, aka - getting paid when broken.
I ban all of you for continuing this monster thread. You're banned and you're banned and you're banned and..

Steampunk - weird tech in past Cyberpunk - weird tech in future Steampunk - Weird clothes Cyberpunk - Leather Steampunk - Ok I've never really read any, are there steampunk books? Cyberpunk -Willy Gibson, Nealy Stephasorous, Richard 'Magnum' Morgan, etc. Uh..I'm tired.
....you can group your heroes together...? That would have been usefull..heh..heh. Oops. And yes, a lot of goooood games coming out in the next 6 months.
I think organic trade would be nice in the respect that one couldn't control where trade went, so your city could be trading with an enemy city and it would be a huge boom, as you said, to have acity that intersected (or was close) with many trade routes. You could add hemispherial or quadrantial (I can't spell) good so that each square (Say the map sectonied into 4) would want some 'luxury' resource that was only found in another square, and of course they'd want all of them if possibl
Some weird shader stuff. http://www.gsc-game.com/main.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr2&thm_page=2&thm_id=21328&sec_id=19 That was me trying to fix it.
http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,76804.0.html I forgot to apply last time, though I've had original for 3 years, go apply, the videos on youtube of the beta look fuuuun. And if you've never heard of Mount & Blade..I feel badly for you. :-( See?
Good question, where's that 3pm demo?!!?
I wish I could have gotten Clear Sky to work...sigh.
Build statues. EDIT- And as someone said rangers/clerics are best in begining.
Are you sure they didn't attack you because you had a place they needed, etc? Or had a lot of trade spots? Or were generally too powerful?
You're interviewing a female for a much needed position in your organization. You NEED this person to be reliable and present to do the job. It's none of his business if she's pregnant? BULL, it's every bit his business as his business is going to be seriously affected by this if he hires her. Unfortunately the whine ass politicians dont see it that way. I understand your pain Brad. Heaven forbid people should be able to make ba
