Definately my custom one :D I love customization, and I love that Stardock made this game so customizeable, both through in-game editors and an extremely open design for easy modding.

I can't recall for sure, but isn't there a download + package version you can buy off impulse? So you can play right away, but you also get a physical piece of media? Maybe that would work for you?
Yeah, my sovereign travels around with his wife. And the kids are bugged or something, because damn, they came out awesome... Sixty essence? What? :P It's great because as soon as one comes of age, they just summon up a whole friggin' army in one turn. Guard units? What are those? I just have one of those kids guarding a city with an army of summons. This frees up my companies of well armed and ridiculously expensive troops to go around with sovereign and wife and roll everyone.
I believe the production bonus is a universal - whatever your city produces, it will produce 10% more with that person stationed in the city. I haven't had a miner yet to know if it affects gold, but I'm leaning towards 'no'.
They were so overconfident in their military might the king thought he'd put you down easily... But in all seriousness, I don't know... I play on Normal for the time being and I've never been in a situation where I had a weaker military... on that note, the weaker empires I was at war with tried their best to avoid me, only attacking when I invaded their territory. They kept their sovereign away from me. So I'd say "No" it's not usual behaviour, but I was playing on a different diffic
1. Do you mean the Fog of War? The limit of a city's vision range? Not quite sure what you mean... same on the creature thing.... 2. Nope. Once it's chosen, that's it. 3. If you left click on the NPC, go to Actions, and hover your mouse over the recruit icon, you should see a "You need this much to recruit" 4. I don't think so, no. 5. Again, I don't believe there is, no. 6. Well, there's Cloak of Shadows in Tactical... It says it makes a unit 50% harder
Go to your My Documents folder, go to My Games, Elemental, and then Units. In there you will find your custom sovereign once they're created. Open that file and you can freely alter their stats, books, starting equipment, etc if you wanna be on par with a premade. This won't affect a game in progress, if I recall correctly, but once altered, your sovereign will reflect the changes on the Sovereign select screen, so you will only have to do this once. So if you're starting a new game,
Oh my god yes. So tired of having my character with massive attack difference get killed because they rolled a 1, 2 and 3 on their attacks despite having over 100 attack against someone with 20 defence...
So I was clearing my land of various nasties to keep my caravans running unhindered, and I thought about how annoying this is to do manually when the empire starts getting large... It sure would be nice if we had an order that we could issue to have units patrol our territory and engage any hostiles that they saw. Ideally you could set it up in such a way that they wouldn't exceed a certain distance from the city, and maybe even the ability to set a challenge rating range they
Small issue, this one. The music doesn't change when on the overworld anymore... If I load a game, start a new one, or go to the menu while playing, it will play the menu music on the world map. If I go into battle, after exiting the battle, the battle music will continue to play. Not sure how that happened :P And not only am I not sure how it happened... I'm not sure how it restored itself, either... all of a sudden, 50 or so turns later, and everything i
Yeah, did that last night... I was like "Oh crap, it 5:43 AM... good thing I don't work today..."
Sounds like the start I just had, Mtrixis. This was actually before the 1.06 patch, so you probably got lucky is all. I spawned not more than 5 or 6 steps away from 2 iron mines, lost library, arcane temple, old growth forest, 2 fertile land and 2 gold mines, 1 fruit orchard and wild game off in the distance for when my city levelled up :P
Wierd... The technology they come off of is Equipment if I recall correctly. Equipment should unlock Archers for research. Of course, I'm not sure how the techtrees differ, so what works for me may not work for you... best you mention which Faction you're playing as (or what race you chose for a custom if you're playing a custom).
Reminds me a little of Heroes IV... sure the hero could be pretty powerful... but once the stacks started getting bigger... instadeath :P So my sovereign is relegated to pumping int and essence so I can do stuff like locking down an enemy with freeze or stab of ice. And summoning the odd sacrafice who will soak up counter attacks so I don't have to sit in town for years while my squads regen.
As a big Disgaea fan, I really don't mind the squares. I'm not sure why you say hexes are 'better for the game'... that seems to me as much of an opinion as you say Brad's dislike of hexes is.
I don't know about rare resources for horses... I started a new game, and a dozen or so squares from my first settlement that I founded, I discovered some wild horses... Lucky find. That and my first town had 2 gold mines near it, 2 iron mines, 2 fertile land, lumber, ancient library and temple of arcane :P I was like "Oooooooh yeeeeeeeah". Granted, the gold mines are a little far out and I still need 1 more level for my town before I get 'em, but still... talk about super l
I totally got robbed on that quest :( Hey, I'll join you! Oh, thanks Mr. Dragon, we could use your help. Nah, I'm kiddin, I'm gonna chill here in my lair. Suckers. Dunno what happened, but the dragon never joined my army :(
Works for me everytime... Had several stacks that had taken casualties, and all of them healed back up just fine... I usually have them rest at a city because they gain more health back per turn (5, I think...) Still, though, when you've got a unit with 20hp left out of over 100... kind of annoying...
I think my last map I found 2 horse resource points. I claimed them both [e digicons]}:)[/e] I'll tell you what's rare... Elementium... that's what...
Really makes me wonder how much Titan Quest-itis is going on... how many complaints (post-patch, anyway) are relevant, and how many are from pirates who can only access the buggy, unfinished version and are outraged the game they spent all that time and bandwidth downloading doesn't work right... As for the current problems, I'm surprised... as of 1.05 I still had a few CTDs, OOM and sudden decline in performance. As of 1.051 I've had no problems except for a wierd bug where m
