Just ONE more turn....

Anyone else keep telling themselves ON MORE TURN? And then that one turn turns into 100 more turns? hehe O:)

Reminds me of how I use to get addicted to Civilization2, Galactic Civlization2, Dawn Of Discoveyr and Sim City games

Anyone else get addicted to this game and end up spending way more time then they planned to play for?
Thank you Stardock for a very fun game that is extremely addicting :jafo:

Most addictive game I've played in years.  I've been late to work twice this week because of Elemental.

Yeah, did that last night... I was like "Oh crap, it 5:43 AM... good thing I don't work today..."

Bloodshot red eyes hanging out of their sockets 2nd day in a row. Colleagues gonna wonder if I've been smoking something!

Yes this game is addictive but I've resisted. :cylon: On the some stage the game became boring and then follows Alt-F4.

1.06 is looking good... A large change from Sunday, that much is true...

Yeah. It got released, I bought it, I played it, wondered why the room was so dark all of a sudden and flipped open my phone. It was 4:30 in the morning. Not really sure when or even if I got up to eat anything.

first game in a while to keep me up till the wee hours of the morning multiple days in a row, and yet I don't hate it the next day. :D

hehe It's 3AM and I only stopped to eat and post but after that I'll be sucked back in, luckily I got a long weekend ahead of me starting tomorrow since I asked for time off from work weeks in advance for this game.

I just hope I don't have to restart again, I restarted once to see the revamped start with 1.05, again when 1.0618 came out, and again because I was forced to for 1.0619 I guess if they patch again I'll slog through the rest of the campaign before I update if it's incompatible with previous saves.

Do what i do, play galciv2 until elemental's mass-patching has slowed down a bit :D

All I have to say is it's a good thing there is a Memory leak and the game crashes after a couple hours or else I'd never stop playing. I usually take it as a sign it's time for a break when it happens. ;)

haha. I am glad that I am not the only one :andrew:

At first I was pissed that my wicked work had to be started again, but its actually been a good thing. Each game ive started has been completely differnt!

This game totally does not have that feeling of "one more turn" for me. Feels like 4x on rails ... kudos for taking a soul-less genre and making it feel even more stale

Yep I've just "one more turned" it till I couldn't keep my eyes open.  Pretty good considering it really needs a lot of work in almost every aspect.  Just once when the AI declared war I wanted to see devastating armies come rolling up to my doorstep and wipe me out.  Right now I explore at a leisurely pace, pick off some AI when they won't give me a non-aggression pact, and my only real threat is wading through hordes of late game monsters.

There has been some GREAT feedback on the forums so far, I hope the team will take all the input to heart and make this a "wow I can't believe I just stayed up for 48 hours straight" game.

End of quote
I started a new game yesterday night and (with only 1 "pause" due to an out of memory error) I went to sleep at 6am today. :S I don't dare to imagine how it will be once game mechanics get polished and the AI starts kicking seriously.
