A few random questions of the in game play

Good documentation would probably answer these but till then...

1. What is the meaning on the light or dark colors arround the cities and creatures in the top left empire tree?

2. Can the level up benefit of the cities be changed later to reflect the idea of changing cities building layout to pursue goals?

3. Is there a way to see more easily how much an available NPC wanderer will cost without asking or have the no asking sign appear when trying to ask?

4. Is there a way to change an order of battle for a stack or a way to pull up elements of a stack so they are played defensively by the AI in Automatic battles?

5. Is there a way to outline elements of a stack who have lost more than half thier hitpoints without having to look at each entry card?

6. Does the spell roster include any invisibility or illusions? (Strategic and/or Tactical)

7. Are there any tactical summons spells?

8. Other than the level 5 city Tower of Ergog (sp?) are there any other helps to raising manna recharge rates? Is there anywhere to see the current recharge rate value?

9. Is it a viable tactic to have hordes over well equipped troops?

10. When one attains the adventurer/dominion research for higher level quests or extra resources, do these appear on all players and computers maps or just the researchers? I am hoping this is yes to the first and no to the former.

11. There appears to be two types of levels for quests to be acheived, is this 'hero' level and researched questing level, or is it that that you can't access some quests because of a need for a start point and it shows as if you are one level lower on the screen for those quests to deny them to you?

12. Is there research to allow for more than one caravan per city?

13. Is it a bug that sometimes doesn't let you chose to treaties in the diplomatic screens or are they denied if there is too much cost over available gold to consider the treatie? IS there plans for an ongoing payment/tax paying treaty option in future updates?

Okay, those are a few basic questions to start with. Thanks in advance to anyone with answers.

3) You can only check either by talking to them or mousing over the recruit button in their action tab. Haven't found any other way.

10) Any increase is world wide; in effect, whatever the highest level research sets the level for the world though you will need to research yourself in order to use higher level stuff.

11) If you check your kingdom tab, it will show your various levels. To increase these, you need to research adventure tech; look for ones that say they reveal new quests to raise your quest level.

1. Do you mean the Fog of War? The limit of a city's vision range? Not quite sure what you mean... same on the creature thing....

2. Nope. Once it's chosen, that's it.

3. If you left click on the NPC, go to Actions, and hover your mouse over the recruit icon, you should see a "You need this much to recruit"

4. I don't think so, no.

5. Again, I don't believe there is, no.

6. Well, there's Cloak of Shadows in Tactical... It says it makes a unit 50% harder to hit, so it's not true invis or anything.

7. No. All strategic.

8. Shards supposedly had something to do with it, or so I've heard... if you do a search on improving mana regen, someone made some custom items that raise your TACTICAL battle regen rate... there's something wrong with the mana regen stat right now.

9. Absolutely. Squads of units directly multiply their stats. Got some dumb peasant with an axe and a patch work tunic with only 6 atk and 3 def... put him in a squad and suddenly he's 24atk and 12 def against a fully armed and armoured knight with 20 atk and 20 def... turn those peasants into a company and they're going to EAT that knight for breakfast as they'll be double again those stats...

10. You know, I'm not 100% sure on that... I will say that when I research the higher things, I've seen locations pop up near enemy cities, but since the enemy never did anything with them I am unsure as whether or not they saw them. For the resource thing I think they can see them... higher level resources gave me a Ventium mine and by the time my pioneer got there, there was an enemy city there and they were already building a mine on the ventium... of course, they could have researched the tech too, no way of knowing, really...

11. One level shows the level of research you have. The other shows the required level you need to have to go to that spot. It's just that one technology, the questing one in the Adventure tree.

12. It's based on either population or city level. The most I've had so far is 2 Caravans to a city.

13. Hmm, after researching the treaties I've never had the options not available to me in the diplomancy screen... You're not at war, are you?

Ok, What I got to play was cool. Then I did the update and now game will not play. Says dx error invalid call. Screen flashes from white to outlines and crashes telling me there is a conflict with my nvidia geforce 7350 le. Any help?

Actually I meant the colour border on the tree in the very top left showing cities and units. I suspect it means that these locations either have not acted yet or have no action but I am unsure as I am colour blind and there is subtle shading differences that could be diff colors I am not picking up.

Disappointing really for the advertised intent.

Thats annoying even with manual battles as having to shift units around to bring the big hitters to the front is getting old.

I hope we see some of this for multiplayer. Making cities appear more defended or distract units on the field is too big an element to ignore in fantasy strategy for me.

I've found the rate is fine if you have many champions with small pools but if you start wanting to use all the city enchantments you need a large pool to not sit stagnate.

Still ultimately rewards single unit well equipped companies, defeating several underequipped companies. While realistic, it does limit tactical flavours if one is better than others.

Thing is I have had times saying 'Notable location level 2. Your level 4' directly beside another site, 'Notable location level 4, your level 3'

Even not at war, I can see the option but if I click on it, the centre of the screen remains blank and no value comparison is raised. I find this very common with technology treaties.
