I'm ready for releasing v. 1.0 of the mod manager. But I need some feedback on how the program work. At the moment a few people (with Heavenfall as the 'master') have give me feedback on implemented feature, bug, desired feature, etc..., and this is ok. But Heavenfall was the only modder that have implemented the mod manager, Sigh!Sob! [e digicons]:([/e] Since i think people will not use the program only for Stormworld, come on modders! Tell me someth
ev4debug I have only positive experience so far with Mod Manager. Great work, can switch between all mods installed and no mods installed in no time at all.
[e digicons][/e] Thank you very much!
It works fine, I tested it before release of course.
I was excited and I wrote the post after the first positive test ...edited the post as a precaution [e digicons][/e]
Uploaded 1.5m, a beta build that requires the .exe Frogboy posted in https://forums.elementalgame.com/437369 Also note that for those preferring manual installation instead of using the Mod Manager, there is a new sub-folder requiring new installation procedures (read about it on wiki under installation). http://stormworld.wikidot.com/versions#toc1
Now Mod Manager can handle it!
With actual configuration file inserted in beta release (Stormworld BETA-4-1-5m), new Mod Manager realease work fine [e digicons]^_^[/e]

with Stormworld_TacticalMaps the file is installed in: ...\MAPS\Stormworld_TacticalMaps\SW_T_NightmareDimension2.xml
uhm... Stormworld_Maps but in zip the folder is "Stormworld_TacticalMaps" [e digicons]^_^[/e]

Main Topic updated, with note to mod developers [e digicons]B)[/e]
rewritten FEMM.xsd (xsd schema used for configuration.femm)you can donwload here
Another update, with some bug fixed ( hurry to release ... [e digicons]^_^'[/e] ) modModuleInstalled.xml file is now stored in mod repository folder (not app folder) App configuration will not be deleted after update
Update! Added "PLAY" button Now the program store info about mods/module installed and restore the correct 'check' configuration at startup and on refresh (info stored in modModuleInstalled.xml saved in the program directory) Edit: uff! Configuration store of module installed is a little broken...if an error message appear, press continue, I forgot a nice check
I noticed on upgrading to current version it lost all file locations.Any chance this could be stored so we don't have to plug those all in every update? Thanks!
Yes! The program stored information are resetted for for my mistake . I'll fix it [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Quick note: I think it will be hard to keep 1 XML file with all the information on all mods. The possibility of missing mods is too great. I think that each mod should come with a XML file of it's own describing the mod that your program could read. It will basically contains installation instructions like a script.
Uhm..is already so [e digicons][/e]
Could you please share this mod manager as standalone application. Simple archive.
1.0 will be released as a standalone setup
I'd like to suggest another button, "play". Sometimes I just want to start the game using what is already installed without going through installing my selected options first. Also, speaking of that, it would be cool if the mod manager remembered selected items between
I really like how smooth the restore installation button is. It just works.
Thanks!
