Questions: Can I use this to make enemy units and creatures? Can I use it to make Armies of said units? How much of their information can I edit?

You hit this right on the nose! We in the mod community have been holding off on development until we get a green light that things in the game will not be drastically changed (except for Heavenfall and a few others who apparently have a lot of free time). 1.2 is the green light for my project, though I can not speak for other modders. In general Summer is the best time for many of us to mod; I am after all a student. If you would like to see what I have planned for meta-map

Great point Infantes! I think food mechanics are a little distorted right now: don"t even get me started on how annoying it can be to conquer a city only to have it eat all of my precious foodstuffs. This is something that you should post in the support section or even in the general forum to make sure Kael hears your voice on the matter. Food needs to be reworked to ensure that even with a five city kingdom, we are not having a mega food city support them all. This is the wrong kind

Epopea: A mod to make the world come alive So I have really enjoyed the game since 1.1 and have been thinking of unique ways to mod things, ways that don't encroach on other modder's territory. One idea I have is to make a map that has a story behind it. We all know the lore of the official ga

There are many ways of thinking about this issue. From a lore perspective, I was just trying to satisfy the audience. This is what I tell myself as I play to increase the immersion factor. From a gameplay perspective, nodes create strategic points worth fighting over. If every tile added a small amount, city spam would be more viable and there would just be too much stuff to harvest, leaving us with too much material, or no way of cutting off the enemy's supply. From a logical

Resources are limited to nodes. These nodes represent the last resources present in the land after a magical force destroyed all other resources. While I too expected those hills to have metal or stone in them, I dug in only to find a brittle chalky rock, seemingly the norm for every hill or mountain in the realm. I then went to the forests, sure that I could chop them down for use in my fledgling town. To my dismay, every tree is wet with rot, thin and close to falling.

Soon all computers will be handheld and our OS and memory will just be floating clouds owned by a third party. Seems pointless to argue about the computer being yours... Old Man

Great update. I just started a new game on a medium sized map and it runs like a dream, but with linear time. I have had some particular fun think of new unit strategies against the AI's warhammer-spearman combos they are pumping out in groups of 4 with 25-45hp each, showing that they are research showing veterans over logistics. They are small, but prove a consistent challenge as I try to get magics and better armor to level the field. Until I can outclass them, I fell back on usin

But that is gaming the AI. I do see a point being made that you are only following a logical course of action by retreating a wounded unit, but at some point you just have to do the honorable thing and let he or she die in the name of the Sov. Otherwise the game is too simple to beat. I am just saying that computer sparring requires humans to give and take when we find an exploitable glitch in its logic. Not that you are in any way being coerced by my words, just my wa

The whole point of Asgard tech was to prevent death, which is the overarching theme of Stargate. Sexuality is just kind of like recycling paper at that point. It doesn"t really solve anything. Just felt like geeking things up.

Well I just got noobed for forgetting that world difficulty and AI difficulty are different.

Well I don't care about the philosophy or the form, but I cannot save any games in GTA 4 unless I am logged in to my live account. There are easy ways to make functional DRM. This is a case of stupid DRM. I would think buying a game on steam would be a sure enough methid of stopping pirates. The fact is, I had to make three new online accounts to play this game and now I can't save because they don't share note with successful DRM makers. Sometimes I wonder if the leaders

Now how about a month of modder support. I have some pretty great things planned and am just waiting for changes to be made before I comit my work to action. This new version looks very good though. Can't wait to put it through its paces!

I just went on steam this holiday season and thought I was making out good with all the wonderful games I purchased for under 2.00 american. This was great until I recently had a chance to try BIoshock 2, which will not function on my computer without buying a router that will support its funky Xbox live BS networking system. So to all those Microsoft employees that use the internet, I am guessing only a few, go frak yourselves. Buyer beware I guess.

66=absolute win. Its these little changes that make me feel like I don"t even need new updates. But I suppose they aren't all just for me.

I have been noticing some issues with the cartographer's table. It is very difficult to set a specific place for a faction to spawn as the only definition is player 1-8. It would be nice to be able to set a specific faction, vanilla or custom, to start at a given tile. Also, some major factions spawn in place of a minor faction. It seems to not recognize the difference when it chooses who will start where.
