I don't think anything I said was that harsh. I was just trying to point out that sometimes they don't give us information because they don't have it yet. And there is a lot of what you were asking for in the mod section of the forum. How about those fire staffs? How is what I said acidic or fanboyism?

Get out of my head Paxton!
I don't know, I don't think an FPS mode is out of the question. This may be the shot in foot this game needs to really get it jumping up and down. Of course then we will need some guns added, maybe lazers to keep with the lore. Can't wait to see how this plays out! P.S. Colvin, if you need any help I have played Myst and I am pretty sures its basically the same thing.
I think you guys are making a solid point that Stardock has the worst/best fanboys.
If you look back in the forums, you will find about 600 pages of debate on how to properly handle the tac battles. At lest 200 of them use this method. That said, they chose a different path...
Pessimistikon, I think you should probably wait for more information before accusing this glass house company of non-transparency. I think the reason there is less specific information here is that there is very little to actually give at this point in the development process. Would it not be worse to announce specifics that end up being changed later in the month? Also, you would know that vanilla Elemental is still going to be updated for a year, if you had bother
I have been waiting to unveil my work on Circle of the Black Thorn until a quest editor is made. is that something we can expect to see in the next couple of months? I seem to remember some talk of January or February being modder-centric. Regardless of that, I look forward to seeing how the expansion will facilitate new kinds of modding. I think there was one forum user here that would be greatly impressed in the new concept of an inhabited world.
I concede my point.
I think we should elect a modder captain to put together the most necessary point that need to be fixed/added into a usable list and submit it to them. I know they will probably do this in their own time, but we are getting pretty close to the point that Frog said would be love for the modders. If we consolidate things into a shortlist, they will be able to work on them faster. I nominate Kraxis and Heavenfall. [e digicons][/e]
So I finally had some time to play the new AI patch (1.11). On ridiculous it is starting to feel as good as GalCiv2! This is of course just my opinion, but I noticed that the way I played the game and what I thought about during the game was very different. I play on ridiculous so the creatures alone have as much health as a late game party in most cases and they are very agressive because they fixed the fight/flight AI issues. I also, as many may have noticed, use a set numbe
Actually, just after a crash, if you just restart a new game and then play 200 turns with autosave off it seems to send the reports automatically. (Thought I'd troll a bit since I haven't time to be helpful.) [e digicons]:ninja:[/e]
You should get the techs that let you use the resources available first. Harvesting, quests, the magic ones. Then get equipment, leather armor, and weapons. The hard part of the game is now over.
Next Year soon = By January 1st?
I think this idea fundamentally clashes with the spirit of a wilderness. I am not saying that the adventure techs are out of the question for spawing resources in better unison with the land, but if you want to drastically change the economy of the game, you need to think about making a mod.
Basic strategy is actually covered here in the forum. I think its in the general section.
There should be an option to turn off animations in the options menu.
But if you only have 2 cities, reducing build times can be a lifesaver. I think they were put in to balance this. I do think a higher maintenance would be logical though.
So wow... If you have problems, you can hust ask a beta tester friend. Don't play the campaign Cuz. Scenarios don't have most of the problems you describe. GC2 couldn't even get the campaigs working for like three years. The UI issues seem like flavor more than valid points, did you criticize other games for such little things or is this one just special? Not sure any one of them deserve a strike. And on that note, baseball is kind of a bad metaphore to use, doesn't reall
Its ready... Are you?
Correct.
For The Brotherhood of Nod Faction: 'My life for Kane!' 'The Brotherhood must expand.' 'Peace through power!' 'Rise up!' 'Kane lives in death.' 'We will take what we wish.' Always loved the fanatic musings of Nod in C&C3. Turns out they make for some good flavor.

(Reveals mallet he was hiding behind his back) I was hoping you would say that. I would then point you to the Final release of GC2:TA. We had a huge number of very different and cool tech trees, all of it followed your point about variety and how culture is imprinted in the very technology we create. It also led to very hard to code AI that left some factions for the computer very easty to dominate and others toatally useless, I am looking at you Fraxis Trade Federation. The balance i
Building maps is oft more fun than playing them.
Quoting seanw3, reply 21 No crossbows? How am I to kill vampires? Oh good they added garlic! That was my first mpression of Oblivion. That was a subtle hint that the game is more fun if you become a vampire. I guess it was a little too subtle
Actually I was noting how much fun the vampire quests were in III as compared to the futile quests in IV. Also, it seemed li
