Great Build. But it takes too long to recruit units. Maybe half to one quarter of the time would be better. This is only a minor issue since I can change it myself. But it is bad to have a point in the beginning where I cant do anything because all my heroes are guarding my cities and it will take 30 turns to get a defender. I am sure you will agree when you play it some more.

I think if you look at GC2, it explains why tactical combat is so simplistic. The current system is essentially the same format as the automatic battles we had, except now the human can choose its target and the computer has to deal with distance and obstructions. These are new concepts and it is no wonder that it has taken a good while to get the kinks works out. Can't wait to see the finished 1.2!
Of course with my tests that give each faction a start of gold, library, refugee, and food, the Umber are the strongest. Maybe look into how they are starting their economy?
I graded based on modability and DRM. At release: E:WoM- 9 Starcraft- 2 Fallout: NV- 4 Civ V- 7 Today: E:WoM- 9.1 Starcraft- 1 Fallout: NV- 1 Civ V- 8.3 I have to say that while Elemental is at the top of the modding scale, there are alot of editors we still need.
2. Thanks for fixing that. I posted about it and it got fixed. Happy day. Keep it up and I'll send you guys a postcard from Peru!
Good Point.
The problem with that is that higher tiers are easily gained by losing every battle. This means that those pedal heavy speedsters rush at the beginning and all die, leaving your team with no light tank support save myself. They should have a clear command structure within the ranks. I am tired of getting losses from triggerhappy rushers. [e digicons]#:([/e]
Wow, getting Lord Xia obsessed with you is a pretty dangerous thing. Like stabbing a bear with a pocket knife. [e digicons]X|[/e]
Twilight ripped off Buffy and called it new. It is poorly written, but with the average intellect declining so rapidly it seems to fit the generation it was written for. I would guess the next popular book series will be a space western.
Let heroes become themselves Soveirgns at a society's collapse. Implement Encomiendas, gifts of land to great warriors to further conquest incentive and control over new lands.
This might not be the case, but i think you guys should have made societies first and then Elemental. It looks pretty cool and an open beta might have been better for your new engine. Or would that make the engine issues worse today? Anyways, I always love your concepts.
I like this idea alot. The only things is, do you pay for the upgrades to armor? I can see things getting out of hand there. You know we can keep this original image on the cards and still give them new armor. This is my usual method of giving them helmets without making them all shiny robots. I would also like to hint at maybe making one race use only leather based armor. It could be upgraded just the same, but would keep that endearing texture alive throughout the game. It could be:
So stay single for a while and get uber chillins. Works everytime.
You hear that? They are going to a bar tomorrow! [e digicons]:troll:[/e]
@Annatar11: Yes you are right. I think accomplish means to have done something significant to progress the story or develop my character. This can be getting to the next chapter in a quest. It can be finding a cool sword. It can even be knitting a sweater in the case of WoW, though it is rather insulting to me personally. I don't like quests that feel linear. WoW, since its the main MMORPG I have played, has a lot of really good quests where there are choices and alliances and unexpec
But time=money. So playing a grind game to me is useless in most iterations. I don't want to have to spend more than 4 hours a week and I would like serious accomplishments fro that time. It would really be cool if they had difficulty settings on MMO's to let busy people have as much fun as the hardcore trust fund types that can spend eight hours a day playing. If they could make thses games without grinding, I might play even if the gameplay stays where it is.
We do have an ignore armor function in the abilities xml. It would be so cool if special abilities could be cast on strike instead of click a button.
Maybe also give the wargs a fear or pushback ability to differ the mounts.
Star Wars Battlefront III: best fantasy FPS that still seems to be mostly fantasy. In my head it is the best game of all space and time.
You can increase AI difficulty by going to the screen where you pick your enemies and increasing the difficulty of each one to hard or ridiculous. This may be why they are so easy. If you are OK with using a present map, they tend to give the AI better metal resources and by extention better units and tech. Try playing on fastest tech speed because much of the AI is better once all tech have been researched. I encourage you to let them build up for a while next time to see where they can go.&
I'll wait for the expansion standalone they almost certainly have planned.
The new content caused many of the bugs. Its a process and its not for everyone. [e digicons]:D[/e]
W00t! I go to UW! You are welcome. [e digicons][/e]
Heroes cannot take on companies. Fact of life. Balance. Companies are usually cheaper but take longer to produce. Use a spell to get them instantly.
