WoM 1.3 is out so now would be the time to make example spells and send them to the devs. Food for thought.

If you really don't like minor factions, I had this idea to make them have special items and spells for sale. Something akin to what made minors in GC2 really useful and interesting.
Yes but being here this long, I have heard the devs say that the game will be many things. One of them was MoM. One of them was RTS tactical battles and TBS strategic map. One of them was Avatar based magic combat. This project has gone in many directions since its inception, regardless of what rights were attempted to be purchased. I, for example, am a MoM fan. I too liked that game, but if I had my own development company I would want to fix the aspects I didn't like to the po
@jpmcconnell, I like the way that you quoted someone and then totally disregarded their point as if you had not read it. You remind me of a young Glen Beck. MANA IS AN EXPONENTIAL GROWTH SYSTEM Saving in the early game limits your expansion and costs valuable units. It limits how many casters you have. In the first 1000 turns you c
no... lawsuits are fun and can be considered good press. The point of ripping it off would be to remake it with stardock's new engine and give it some very good multiplayer options. I think the reason they don't is that old human desire to make something new and call it your own. MoM fans generally don't understand this concept (or so it seems after reading these forums for 2 years).
Ya! And enough with this fireball BS. You can't shoot fire from your hands. For that matter, where is everyone sleeping? I have counted the number of windows in my city and there must be 2,000 people on the streets at night. That is just not sanitary. Thank you for caring enough about this game to be sure it holds up to its flight simulator predecessors.
Honestly just rip it off. There are so many potential buyers for a good MoM style game the law suit will pay for itself. Basic Girls Gone Wild Strategy. Just look at what Starcraft did to Space Marines... [e digicons]:ninja:[/e]
Titan's Call is just as powerful as Grip of Winter and Volcano. Does anyone else play WoM? Its just a better version of those spells. So Murteas' Grimoire will likely be easily transferable. That pretty much takes care of variety for me. What about turning every shard into a death shard? You would be super powerful and an early game rush would allow you to pretty much make the game a Life vs. Death game. Death always wins that one (especially if you are you kno
I just hope that FE falls flat so I can get the third game free too! That might be troll logic... I'll get back to you.
@ Sethai, lol volcano is the only late game spell I plan on using...
I would guess that Int is spell resistance and ability to cast as in WoM. Are we to assume that the reason for the small number of spells is to make sure the AI can use them? In that case I think there are plenty here. I don't really count lack of summons though, as it is probably the easiest spell to add. I really like the Focus spell in particular. Also, the +50 dodge adds a sort of dread to fighting a good AI. Mana shield is something nice to s
I would hope the next release will have the problem addressed since it doesn't look like WoM will get any new AI till long after FE. That is probably a good thing though since this game is Matrix 3 and that one seems to be Matrix 1 or even the original Bladerunner.
Just increase the prestige improvements so that they add increments of 30 instead of 3. This is a better balance if you will have over 12 cities and you want a few level 5's.
I think the real issue here is that their prestige isn't reducing as they build new settlements. They must be able to build infinite pubs and inns like in the 1.1 version. [e digicons]:-"[/e]
I added 30 prestige to every prestige building and it seemed to make things work well. Try that. You can have 6 cities before you need to worry about the new equation. At 15 cities inns give 4 prestige and that doubles for every new prestige building.
You know that you need to level your units to to about level 3 before Glass is replaces with Dampened Wood cannons right? Unit hp goes way up after that. that is why i camp my new recruits next to a forest so they can level a bit before taking on a real challenge. I thought we all did that. A simple flick of the wrist changes hit points to higher values. Problem solved. I think there is a fatal flaw though in that heroes are much more expensive than trained units and rarely have an ad
Farscape is one of the truly best sci-fi shows of my generation that I just started watching continuously. It definitely deserves a look if you are hard up for a new show. One of the best that alot of people never saw. Its on stagevu.com or any other less than honest streaming site or you can buy the whole 4 season, 1 movie, saga for around 100 american on amazon. On a side note: Farsc
I don't think anyone can really have a valid opinion about whether or not to drop plans on EWoM AI time. That is, until we get a beta of FE for comparison. So after the beta is released lets start a poll. Feedback is key to success. This is not new information, but it is emphasized. I really do hope that the editing tools and products thereof, which I have spent hours on waiting for a playable game, are compatible with FE on some level. Will maps translate well? Will tiles? Now th
Well of course there is some chance.
I have posted to the same effect.
Just played about eight hours of the new build. After I increased the build speeds and training rates the game got really fun and exciting. That was when I noticed some big problems with the current prestige system. I know we all want city spam to a minimum on medium sized maps and that this new system is a way to force a decision between a few large cities and several smaller ones. I also know that this change is making it impossible to to reasonably expand on a larger map. You absol
Pork FTW.
Ya I pretty much increase the hp after each update. I understand what they are trying to do with the large units low hp, but I just like hardier gameplay. Its nice that I can up the difficulty to avoid needing to alter too much in xml.
So I can't wait for the new food variety pack mod Heavenfall has been working on. I hear he added mead.
Training times are also a problem. Beyond having glass cannons, I can't train more than a few troops within the first 100 turns. I tried to mod this out but the data seems to be unchangeable in the beta. I understand why this is necessary, but I look forward to some word on whether or not this issue is a specific design element that I have to live with until 1.3 is done and I can just edit it out, or if the devs are still tinkering with how many turns it should take to train 5 peasants.&n
