I want dungeons. Tactical maps should be able to link to a potentially unlimited number of other maps and new art should be created to make really good looking dungeons. Also, a huge increase in spells and the AI tags to back it up.

Oh lol, you thought I meant that everyone would have to agree to the new system. No. I have the plan in place right now. At my command I can change everything: by the time you all realize what is happening, it will be too late. All I need do is initialize the program. I will wait a few more years to see if things can fix themselves.

I think SP AI is far superior to MP people. The fact is that at my level of strategic excellence, humans are as predictable as a good AI, if not more so. Humans have a habit of needing food and sleep. They have this concept called time and they seem to think its a precious commodity. AI's will play a game to the bitter end with honor and dignity while humans often crash to the desktop after the first battle doesn't go their way. Humans refuse to commit time to my turns. They are diffi

Okay so I wake up on fake Christmas morning and find a download for FE under the impulse tree. I start it up and I get a bland landscape, 20 spells that take 1000 turns to learn, crappy resource generation, a population prestige equation that is totally broken, crashes, crashes, and more crashes, and beyond all that there is a spider army right outside my starting city and i have no weapons or magic to use. Given that, I would go straight to the forum and post the moth

Nice. I think adding a few damage and armor buffs would go great in this kind of book. I like non-shard books because you can use total number of shards to increase power levels. This way it matters less if you don't get the shard you want for your society to flourish. I am working on a book that relies on specific variations of shards to enable it to be cast. Magic the gathering could potentially provide some really interesting spellbooks if you imagine each deck style as a

Love the spells, keep it up. I would suggest that city moat be drummed up to creating a bottomless cavern around the city rather than a ditch. And IMO stoneskin could be a higher level conceptually while its place might be taken by barkskin. Nature and earth magic could probably have some overlap.

I am currently in an unending battle with spiders in real life. I have no desire to put that terror into my escape from that reality. I hope others enjoy this though.

I agree with HF. Quests are much more cumbersome to make in xml, so there is merit for a mod tool for that, but it is probably something I would commission for a modder to make than an actual dev. If this game is good enough, I'll even pay HF or someone a handsome sum to make it for us. We could start a collection.

I always think of Tarth as a hunter-bandit society. I think that a little tweak like this could prove useful. They should have natural abilities too though, like backstab, expert archers, ambush, and whathaveyou.

I swear I heard that cities will be less complex than WoM. If that is true, your ideas are still very much appreciated and can surely be added to whatever incarnation FE takes in the realm of tech trees. I really like the idea of shards doing more than providing mana and spell damage. Researching water magics should change your entire society. Buildings, technology and weaponry should reflect that (like the culture in Avatar TLA but less Asian influence). In the a

As I see it, the curses book would have a countering book of blessings. Demons and angels demons and angels demons and angels. I cannot express how excited I am about the paranoia idea. I am going to steal it if you don't mind (full credit will go to you of course). I think I'll break open the old demonic encyclopedia and see what name the devil gave paranoia. Right now I have alot of general spells: possession, enchantment, domination, sacrifice, quest based conjuration, impregn

Alpha is already made, just needs to be put up on impulse. I have a plan to get some hidden recording devices into the offices of the devs. Soon the game will be all too public. I'm calling it Operation Stardockgate. [e digicons]:ninja:[/e] As for hopes and dreams, I am dreaming of a post-Christ's fake birthday that the Romans invented release. I am hoping that adding the new spellbooks I am working on will be easily modded and most of all I am wondering

I trust Yahtzee at the escapist with most of my game buying decisions. He generally has a stick far enough up his ass to get the really bad part of game out in the open. As for EWoM, this game started out for me as a quirky successor to GalCiv2. Now its more like putting my last 1000 dollar chip on black 13 in roulette and hoping for a darkened miracle. I just don't care about money. I want to see how it all ends...

Equal distribution of wealth imposed by a cyber intelligence. Loss of basic freedoms to ensure management of resources and minimized corruption. Population controlled by enforced sterility at birth and fertilization as a reward for good citizenship. It seems harsh, but this is a good last defense plan if things really get out of hand. I would choose it as a first step to rationalization and special improvement myself. Any takers?

Well this game feature is about two lightyears away from that line. I would rather have fast growing cities for twenty years instead of a game stopper in two hundred. I usually tell myself that as the only city in existence, there are alot of people (720) that want to be safe inside the walls. [e digicons]:ninja:[/e]

I think they probably have a board up in the Stardock labs that says: Things we need to add! -Unique units and factions -Interesting environments -Scary monsters -Balanced combat -Interesting combat -Magic -Spells (Well 25 or so is fine I guess) -A well functioning tech tree -A well functioning economy -Competent AI If they have the board up I am sure FE will be at least a passable game for
