Yeah, I know how it goes. Boy meets game, boy dumps game. Boy then hooks up with game's sister only to find out she's even more of a lying skank.

Really looking forward to 1.1. It's the first true step towards what this game should be. Special abilities, whether they are for weapons, various creatures, different spell effects, etc. are what give these things character and move them away from being generic and boring.
CS definitely needs a rework, that much is sure. I like most of the op's ideas.
Tbh I wouldn't mind seeing caravans removed. They're just so boring and feel out of place somehow. Also the roads they make tend to look messy like a spider web made by a retarded spider. Of course if they could be made more interesting/meaningful I'm all for it.
Unnecessary drama.
I think AoWSM has better graphics than Elemental, unless you think that "these days everything must be in 3d" (and it would be hard to use the Elemental engine to recreate it because it uses hexes instead of squares).
I kinda agree which is why I was asking. I'm really annoyed 3D is insisted on these days even though it's often unnecessary and doesn't really add anything and often only makes the game look blander. Imo devs today are
Just for discussion's sake what do you think AoW has to gain from Elemental's visuals/gameplay?
When I saw the title I thought this thread was a joke. The band of jobless devs most likely without the skills and manpower required to do this are hardly gonna get together to invest a few years working for free to make a new game. Though there will almost certainly be a MoM mod one day.

Thanks guys. Shouldn't be available instantly perhaps?
Yes some things should require research like a stonemason guild that would be needed to increase the city's prestige by utilizing marble for example. Other effects could be immediately harvested like a copper mine that
Greetings ladies, gentlemen and developers. I know there are many of these (threads) but with a little luck this will still have some meaning. 1. Map resource diversification. For example. For example the "Old Forest" provides materials. But since it's a forest perhaps it could also provide a small (like only 1 unit) amount of food from foraging and or hunting. Twilight bees provide food. However honey could be considered quite a luxury so maybe the Apiary could
And that settles that, moving on.
Um.. let's look at it here in a analytical/legal sense before shooting off at the mouth. "Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state" Stardock hasn't, as far as I know, taken away the right from anyone to "demand" that the game be in a "finished state" You can all "demand" all you want. No where did they state that they would only release a game that is "fully playable
Tried setting the affinity to a single core and also giving elemental high priority. There may have been an improvement but it's hard to say. If there was it was minuscule. ^^^ I had Spybot S&D in my system tray along with Daemon Tools, Winamp Agent and, of course, Impulse. I exited the Spybot for my newer tests with no noticeable results. A Firefox window was also open I guess.
One user mentioned we're all using Intel CPUs. @Below: Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs)
I updated my Nvidia gpu drivers less than 24hrs ago, the scale and nature of the problem was the same with both the old and new drivers. I fiddled with the resolution as the poster above (Delijoe79) in addition to turning of shadows, ground lod, AA, to no avail. I didn't try going down to 800x600 but I really shouldn't have to. It boggles the mind.
Tbh even one point is too much for the starting equipment. Why gimp yourself on stats/talents for a frikken gnarled club?
Same as above unfortunately. After playing for several hours even combat becomes laggy and animations slow to a crawl. Whatever other issues the game may have I'd say this performance problem is definitely the worst. If the 1.05 patch made any difference I'm not feeling it.

Station them in a city - will slowly healt them Equip them with med packs - will slowly heal them, can be researched Spells, Mass Heal - can be researched cost 15 mana. Strategy type spell Heal - also researched, tactical type spell for use in battles. Thats the 4 options i know off. You can properly get/buy healing pots for your hero also.
S
quoting post- Updating troop numbers should now be a bit more logical. - A unit's max health is now properly based on the maximum amount of troops they have (not their current troop number). What does this mean? Did 1.02, 1.03, or 1.04 make armies work like Master of Magic's where individual soldiers die as their total health drops? Because that would be awesome.
I'm curious about this
You get confirmation as soon as you order and e-receipts were sent once the game was actually released.
Where have some of you been living in the past years/decades? In Age of Wonders a single ordinary wolf or bird can walk/fly into a huge walled city and take it over. In Civ games you also lead relatively small groups of units that can conquer a "city of thousands". It was the same in Master of Magic. In Heroes of Might and Magic you can take over castles with a hero with a single peasant, there are no civilian populations to take up arms against you. The same applies to most such games.
Technically it should be today though it's quite late in the day (relatively speaking). Nothing to do but clench your teeth and wait.
