Two whole months without a single beta patch, that sucks!

Sounds like there will be a lot to balance and bug fix in Beta 1G. Meanwhile you probably have beta 2 about ready to go and new players chomping at the bit. My suggestion would be to revisit this tested beta 1G right after you've prepared for the initial beta 2. I think we'll get the most of implemented feedback, excitement, and allow you to take fresh looks at the stuff which got overlooked in 1G. My other recommendation might be that as unbalanced as spells sound they should
Bear in mind the President can only propose cutting the budget. It is congress which actually votes on and decides what the budget of the U.S. is. I can only hope it fares the same as the Carbon Cap and Trade proposal.
Shapeshifters will be in, Werewolves will not.
I gracefully accept your Surrenders!
Since Brad did his background, I figure I'll bring up the tentative one I have in mind. The Fae are not from the world of Elemental. In their world they were a great and powerful world empire with great mastery over the magic of their world. They lived in great peace and harmony with their world's nature and did not seek after power... until the Titans came. The Titans simply saw their world as a thing to be plundered. They wreaked great destruction upon their world and setup
If you think I left something out, post below and I’ll either answer YES. NO. Or some lame cryptic marketing answer.
Will Elemental have my baby?
He didn't include any MMO titles there. EA already has the lead in most released MMO titles shut down.
Yeah well, I hope the shot in the magazine is bigger :p
Good luck getting those sons married off! What do you mean by public beta? Is that when we get the next wave of beta testers in? Because I'm hoping for a patch before my next birthday when I hit "another year older".
For my break I moved 10 minutes drive east. So much work is involved with moving now that we have 3 small children. Phew! A few years ago before getting married, moving was a very simple thing. Now it is horrendous. Anyways just got internet back today. Glad to see you spent more time with your kids than working on Elemental. Got your priorities in the right place :D
Second that
First a quibble. Please don't use "Minor" and "Major" to classify quest types like this. Because you know it'll put everyone in the frame of mind that map quests are "epic" and timeline based qusts are "insignificant". I might recommend terms like Geo-Quests or Chrono-Quests to indicate location triggers or time triggers. I hope late in the game the number of turns will trigger "epic" "save the world" type quests. I also want hearty less significant quests like "stop the rat plague".<
will the AI continue to be "smartened" after the official release of the game? Heh. Any GalCiv II players want to answer this for Scoutdog?
Sure, like every single update. Go see the changelogs for all the Galciv updates
As I'm thinking about my mod there is a mechanic I was hoping for that I think the entire game would benefit from. That is doing things for "favor" or indebting one nation to another (Yes, real life examples abound). Throughout history it has been a common story that 4x games have yet to capture. Nations become indebted to another for a gift of money, support in war, a gift of technical prowess or whatever. So the mechanic is meant to represent this. As a ruler I might give yo
That is even better than it looks on my screen. Mine is a little patchy as the clothes appear through in some parts.
I like that you can only build adjacent to buildings now instead of diagonal. However, if a special tile is diagonal to a building of yours, you still get the building selection in the bottom right bar when you can't place it. The appearance of buildings in the building bar should be based on having a placable tile. This will help eliminate a lot of needless icon clutter.
You can't build on a Fire Shard in .264. You can't build an altar and you can't build anything else on it. Building an altar for it isn't even an option. I've only encountered this problem with Fire Shards so far. Earth, Air, Water have been placed just fine. Note that when placing houses the Fire Shard appeared as an option to place them, but it wouldn't actually allow me to place them th

Fixed in .264 The Market tech now gives you Markets.
I've tried half a dozen saved games now that I created with .264. Only one has worked.

Deserts are the same color as "Goodie objects" on the map and makes it very confusing when you're looking at one. It would be better if the deserts were a more golden/yellow color.
