http://pastebin.com/xzsgytPg Same thing. I note that from the crash log there is a game save version mismatch even when using a brand new game save. It then begins to load Kumquat 3D and crashes. Testing will be sooooo much easier when save games finally work in beta!

CodeCritter check that code! Problem persists in beta 1G. I can replicate it the exact same way.
Maybe it is just a bug with the spell, maybe it is something random but I started with the spell imbue hero and have it as a research option as well.
I don't see where the old starting locations thread went to. So here is a new one for you. Game started slowing down and crashed during a spellcast. Memory leak suspected. http://pastebin.com/sZtSmK5m
Since all the debate is over where Elemental ranks among PC games, and there is relatively no debate about console games then by the circumstantial evidence alone the jury must find that console games are DOOMED! [e digicons][/e]
Well I still think you should have more than one point of road. First type of road could simply be a trail, built automatically by trade caravans between cities. It might have a minor speed boost but would primarily be for commerce. Second type could be a real flagstone road. Requires stone quarry and soldiers with paving tools. Then you spend money and get a real speed improvement road. The roads would build faster and cheaper if they followed trails, but could be built anywhere you
Another alternative solutionf or city spamming... come up with a new method to place cities in converted ground. So you can spend essence to create cities in wastelands. But you have to use a different method to build cities in reclaimed ground. The reason for no people in reclaimed ground isn't that the land is barren... it is that the people just aren't attracted to settle there for whatever reason. Maybe instead you build a settler unit or a significant gold outlay is neede
You're late :p
Several concerns have arisen, however, and I've been mulling over these issues, mentioned by beta testers, that makes the current system lame. 1. Building a city, and suddenly running out of tiles with no way to get more. 2. Plopping down an outpost to harvest a resource 4 tiles from another city. 3. Forcing the player Snaking a trail of small improvements over to 4. Easily growing an
You're looking at a very difficult proposition. Make auto-resolve too good and there is no point to doing a tactical battle. Make it too bad and everybody will feel obligated to use tactical battles. You can't have both "be the best" and the AI can never replace the human's capabilities because every person is different and may even have different tactical abilities day to day (get some sleep, then battle!). This is an equation. The human player is a variable, the AI is a cons
It should be against the law to force somebody to use the internet to play a single player game. Single means alone. Internet is anything but a reference to being alone. Oh well I never really like UBIsoft anyway.
I don't know about that. However, some should slap them with a lawsuit for false advertising if they claim to be "selling you a game" when all they're doing is r
I already bought Elemental. Civ 5 will have to wait and see. They don't have Stardock's commitment not to penalize the customer with DRM. If I think it will be a quality product, I will buy it.
Unfortunately the politicians mostly don't seem to care because most of them on both sides are highly corrupt. IF there is one who isn't corrupt, you can expect them to do their best to Litmus test them out of their party. As to the question, Debt is always bad for long term growth. How does spending income on interest payments help your personal wealth? It doesn't work any different for the U.S. government or economy. If we didn't have the interest on the debt to pay down, we could ma
I start to sympathize more with the pirates every time I hear this. If I accidently bought one of these games, I'd probably turn around pirate it because being forced to play a single player game online is senselessly annoying.
Nice pictures. I look forward to seeing the story unfold... especially in like, you know a beta patch! It's a cover. It works. Must confess, I already bought the game so it isn't like I care much about box covers at this point.

A rich bestiary will definitely make the game more
Nicely done. Got me hooked on the story conecept already.
Just do us a favor with those of us who have Elemental withdrawal syndrome. You don't have to patch, but a Youtube video of "cool stuff" you've added would be awesome to tide us over.
You returning to PAX West this year? PAX 09 was a lot of fun with Stardock and I hope to see you there again!
