I think city management is getting a bigger reaction than it ought to have because the UI places a bigger emphasis on it than Stardock tends to. When you can no longer select the tiles that buildings go on, it will feel like a smaller experience and it won't feel so empty. That's not to say this is necessarily a good thing for players in itself, but I do think it doesn't need to be an overwhelming focus.

Not voting yet. Quests, city management, tactical battles, and random events all need love. Faction differentiation does too but could come with some of those other things. I have a major issue that could be stability or performance depending on how you look at it. There's too many things that need a vote for me to cast a single one now.
On the stability issue, I don't have crashes or anything that I know how to properly report, but I do get massive game-ending slowdown often enough that I can't really play the game into the second act.
It isn't random. They ate all the black people first. See any black people in Elemental? Nope, cause the racist bears ate them!
That brings up an interesting point. How come the humans in Elemental all have a European range of skin tones and facial features? Is there a reason, or is it just the assumed default for Fantasy?
People trolling come from all walks of life. It's a normal facet of interaction, even though the name is quite modern. As for the the "Entitled Gamers" which I assume is referring to those fellows who were complaining about Elemental and insulted Stardock when Frogboy was apologizing repeatedly and giving out free expansions like candy, well, if those were trolls they were shitty trolls. What did they think those posts would elicit? I really doubt that those posts can all be attributed to

Regarding the stuff earlier in the thread: I actually like that monster lairs are often undefended. It feels good to sneak in behind a monster and grab their stuff, then high-tail it out of there. It's a gamble, if I succeed I get good items at no cost, but if I fail, I end up losing units and/or stuck in the city healing.

Heh, I satisfy all those requirements (including the plus things, although my PHP and XML knowledge is pretty shallow) but I don't have the degree. And I could be better with Photoshop and InDesign, I guess. I mostly use Fireworks and sometimes SAI.

I see them as hard working folk who do what they have to but (as Empire) are more willing to accept that things won't always work out for everybody, and will take hardship as it comes. <br /
3. Spells. They all feel pretty unsatisfying. Maybe more animations and soundeffects could spice things up. But in all the whole execution of spells is not very good at the moment. It needs more varying things going on. I'm not sure how to respond to this. It is a visual thing? The spells in FE are certainly as varied or more than your typical RPG let alone a fantasy strategy game. I can only go by what
Nah. I look at attack, defense, and hit points. The threat levels don't seem to really mean anything.
Yeah, the should AI should know when what they can make is nowhere near the quality of what they're up against, and they should take some measures to not get into a war then.
Yeah, wither shouldn't stack.
One of the things that was supposed to improve in the current beta (0.86) was interface. The sovereign select screen was fixed and is now much better, a panel with a realm overview was added, and a line of dots was added to indicate movement paths. All well and good, right? Except none of this was really done that well. The sovereign select screen, despite featuring a big cinematic image of the sovereign selected (which is very well done and has some good particle effects) s
It seems like there's some sloppy code somewhere in the Corruption spell. It doesn't function elegantly, with the new shard sprite failing to appear on the map on the turn the spell is cast. More importantly, if you cast it on a shard which already has a shrine built, the shrine is destroyed but you are not able to build a new one. You can select the death shard and the "build" button appears but it doesn't work.
After exiting the game due to slowness, I found that the end turn button no longer worked, and the automatic turn end that comes upon using up all movement had not happened.
The person who wrote that doesn't know what he's talking about. People are upset about the declining quality of Bioware's writing, the increasing hubris of their administration, and their poor treatment of customers. Hepler just gets the trouble from it because she's an appealing target and convenient scapegoat. She's fat, ugly, Jewish, and more importantly she's an abysmal writer who quite clearly was given a job by her husband, and then has the gall to accu
Not too sure about the razing, or about the four accessory limit. I'll see how they play out.
