Jeez, I hate advertisements as much as the next guy, but if you don't like them YOU CAN TURN THEM OFF. I find it laughable that people are making a fuss about this when it takes a couple of clicks to stop it.

While it's obviously got nothing on some of these, I find it's fast enough 90% of the time. I do cry though when I'm downloading those 2gb files. [e digicons]^_^[/e] EDIT: I wonder why my ping sucks so bad.
You cant join Beta 1C. You can preorder whenever you want, but you won't get in until Beta 2, and then that will close for a while.
This is a quote about it from https://forums.elementalgame.com/356722. Q: Are the screen shots we see indicative of the final quality? A: NO! The engine we've developed is still being enhanced. For instance, in the screen shot above, the shadows aren't in yet. There are still a lot of features left to be put in visually. That said, one of our primary objectives with Elemental is to have a game that has unprecedented flexib
Wow, what a cesspool of hate. I'm actually enjoying SGU and didn't feel 'Life' was imcomplete at all.
It's not possible for you to add Elemental to an ignore list for the program?
Wow, I think the only extra detail that could have been added would have been the code itself :)
Heh, see what I mean? This is where it spirals out of control. I get what you mean with the running in circles. Basically you are talking about the classic rock-paper-scissors balance model with cavalry>archers>pikemen>cavalry. In a real time strategy game like the total war series people protect thier archers with the pikemen while thier cavalry attacks the enemy archers. In a turn based game this is not possible. Cavalry can si
The point of mentioning this topic is for detailing the problem of using life as the solution for trained soldiers surviving many weak soldiers which is what Stardock indicated as their current intentions. That's a pretty basic explanation it's not like Stardock provided a list of other variables. The earlier a problem is addressed the easier it can be fixed.
Nor
Dude, you're jumping the gun trying to 'fix' something before the whole system is even completely set up. If you're worried about elite soldiers being >>>> then peasants then thats a balancing issue and not something inherently wrong with the system. As well as something we should wait til we have some actual numbers instead of pulling them out of thin air and expecting the worst.
That's it!
The beta is currently in progress however it is not open to join until beta 2 starts. Here's the beat breakdown, we're currently in Beta 1B. Link
dunno ... I would like to see a 24 hour clock display configured into the interface though. No more playing till the sun comes up without realising it!!!
No, instead you'll know the sun is coming up in a half hour, but keep telling youself one more turn anyways. [e digicons][/e]

The fourth one is the Civ 4 mod Fall from Heaven II.
The inn prolem is a bug. It didn't do that before the new build. I like the idea to be able to upgrades huts and such because the demolishing feature does need work. Currently I have to click to destroy, click 'yes' I really want to destroy, and then click one more time to actually destroy stuff - then do it again for every tile I want destroyed.
I disagree. However, I'm sure a 'Turn Off Infocards' option wouldn't be hard to put in.
It's BETA! They are designing this game to run on a huge variety of computers. Hell, Frogboy said he wants Elemental to be able to play on Netbooks. Right now there's memory leaks, bugs, and a probably just poorly optimized code that's making the performance, well, crappy. It's what the beta is for so give them good information so they can make it better.
Ok, then I would think there would need to be some kind of decay to reduce people building up rediculous amounts of resources.
Doh **feels sheepish** What I meant to say was how will local storage work? Infinite, buildable warehouse, ect.
I like the idea. Does it also implement storage or no?
I like where Frogboy is going with this. Anything less then magic is not going to hurt a dragon. Arrows and swords propelled by men are not strong enough to do damage. It'd be like non-venomess ant bites - they could sting you everywhere, and while it might hurt a little, all it would do make you angrier.
Now that is some bear cavalry!
Well, I've been trying to not jump the shark because nothing is finalized, but these announcements on the simplification of the economy system are really disappointing. I just hope that this doesn't get hardcoded so at least through modding we can have the complex economy initially envisioned for this game.
I generally cant pan with the mouse after a couple turns, but dragging the map around with the left mouse button is actually my preferred method of getting around.
