YES! I support this with all of my essence! I think this is a great idea and PERFECT for Elemental. Dark Sun is an amazing setting, methinks, and justice can be done to it here. I will be very eagerly following this mod.

This is wonderful. You are wonderful. I have a feeling I'll be using this quite a lot.
Yup, I have a strong feeling this will give birth to what is to Elemental that OOO is to Oblivion. Wonderful stuff.

Richmond BC here.[/quote] Hey, fellow Richmond person! *high five* Yeah, slow fulfillment center + border = SERIOUSLY I know I just got mine a few days ago, and the date stamp shows Stardock sent it IMMEDIATELY. The army prizes I think were sent directly by Stardock, so this was just border slowdown. Combine that with possible fulfillment center issues and we get horrendous wait ti
...because after a MASSIVE defending battle, in which we STEAMROLLED the enemy--we didn't even get touched--the results screen showed that everyone except my sovereign was dead. So, they must've all had simultaneous heart attacks, because the enemy never even got to hit us and no spell was cast upon us. Is this some ability I'm not aware of, or does it sound like a bug?
YES YES YES YES YES! It is here in my hands! You know, if you at all read this, I want to thank you Stardock. Thank you for these fantastic prizes, and for how you got them to me. I REALLY REALLY appreciate it! I read the contest rules; a LONG time was stipulated for receipt of this, but you sent it immediately. This is wonderful. Thank you...and now I will get to them!

From the rules and regulations I was totally ready to get it in October/November. It's really impressive that these have been sent out pretty much ASAP. Marlowwe! I envy you! But this means mine should be here very soon! So excited! Dang, unacomn...that sounds pretty epic, a
Well, I do think there is something unique to this: it seems quite widespread, and sentiments are flying around beyond simply what has been done wrong. The way it's handled on all sides is also unique. I think much of this backlash here is par for the course, but the fullest extent of it, of the shots taken, the vitriol exchanged, and the self-trapping in the past that hate may breed...that is...well, also par for the course. But I've never seen it done for a game, and I don't thin
I very much agree with having to pay for starting equipment with starting gildar. You want that fancy staff? Pay up...you'll start with less money...but you'll have a staff!

You're right...there is a lot of gold in the discussions here. It is an excellent forum. I never really thought of that.
POW! I am greeted with this...this is awesome. You guys are awesome. I am really looking forward to this.

...and there's the context. Thanks, Istari. That effectively banishes this foolishness. My only concern is that people will be swayed by that without knowing it for the venom that it is.
I think the whole "pressuring" thing is valid...the massive excitement and buzz about it and extreme desire to have it earlier (myself included, though I never said it due to being mostly a lurker) do exert a lot of pressure, and when it comes from within that loop/bubble it entrenches you in your idea. Also, "he just starts ignoring all their posts and focusing on people with useful feedback." Specifically: "focusing on people with useful feedback." I don't

Hmm, I do see what you mean, but I do think that more haters are flocking to Stardock than I've ever seen. Justified criticism they do very much deserve, but not the sheer attacks and such that are thrown around. I would say, though, that the leadway Stardock is getting is leadway they deserve; they have very much earned it in my eyes. EDIT: I also VERY VERY much appreciate how you responded in disagreement. I have a quick observation: I look around and what do I see? This has gone WAY beyond the game; we do have some intentional blindness to the state of the release and wanting the game to be perfect from the outset so badly that reality is denied, but not actually that much...and such a thing doesn't affect a whole lot. Far more (and much more widespread than these forums) do we have people tossing the game out wholesale, taking shots and Stardock and supporters, and g
Awesome! Thanks for the pics, Ky. SO MUCH TEASE Mine is probably tied up at the border. CON: Will take long. PRO: Will not take as long as Canadian EB Games (the worst thing EVER EVER EVER...I expect them to get Elemental along the same timeframe as they got SOASE or anything else I went looking for...about six months to a year.) Which to do first...read the book or play the game? I must decide quickly! BOTH AT T
