I was not sure what window was the last I saw, so I tried it again. After 15 minutes I was able to get to the place, where one can choose a channeler. I was able to change it to the ugly miner (I don't rember the name). The new v0.804 does not work at all. Since the beginning the situation gets worse and worse. At this point I am not able even to start the game. I set antialiasing off and advanced lightning off. I think it is a general problem. I have two monitors set as a large desktop. Elemental shows up on one screen, some parts of my desktop on the second one. If I want to scroll in Elemental, I move the mouse to the edge of the screen. It works on all edges but not between the two monitors. The mouse appears in the second window and thus it is not able to scroll to the direction of the secondary monitor. Agreed. I don't know, if I will use this feature, but It is good to have it in the game. No one is forced to use it, but there will allways be people, for them even the hardest AI would not be hard enough. I remember the same situation (and debate) in Sins of the solar empire. Randomization vs. Richness No amount of premade maps is big enough not to become repetitious. So I would rather have simpler tactical maps than more complicated ones that appear again and again. There was a discussion about generated tactical maps. I think it is better to have these randomly generated, but if you fight on one single map square and the tactical map is randomly generated, the map changes. It does not make much sense. However you usually use some random generator. They have seeds. If you remember the seed to all map tiles, the map would be generated the same, which makes sense and also there is no problem with the same tactical maps on different parts of the map. .

If I uncheck the advanced ligntning, the problem is partially solved. Half of the portraits is drawn, the rest remains not painted. In the last game the sovereign miniature and some heroes were not painted, while the miniatures of soldiers were and so were some other hired heroes.

All portraits and unit design graphics is bad. It is not the bug with the antialiasing. If I have the anti-aliasing on, the game crashes immediately. With anti-aliasing off I was able to play a decent game in window mode. With this setting it is really more stable.

Customizing my own race is good, but I don't want to customize the AI races. I liked the mixed population in MoM. It simply makes sense.
