Ya, I haven't experienced any (noticable) bugs so far in my Russian campaign, currently about 50 turns in. Just avoid forts at all cost. The AI will make you want to murder it if you try to tell them to do things near forts walls. I think the biggest thing is finding the starting nation that works for you. I couldn't stand the British or French as well as certain aspects of the Marathas (slow fence crossing GRRRRR), but Russia really seems to be fun for me. I also have heard about random cras

I found the nation which works best for me! Russia! No annoying overseas colonies to deal with. Fast expansion is possible. And a large starting area (unlike the Marathas). And most importantly of all THEY DON'T USE CAMALS OR ELEPHANTS! Those thing just take way to long to cross fences... I also discovered the true usefulness of canister shot. I was in a town defending against enemies coming at me. 2 units of horsemen charged at me down an alley, so I flanked down

I think some wicked smart Japanese scientist almost hit the nail on the head last time I checked, generations ahead of his time. But these methods are not as good, and even more recently, Obama signed a bill allowing the use of IVF embryonic stem cell lines for research.
first

I like Chrome myself due to it not freezing if some part of the site fails to load correctly (as IE does at least twice a day). However, I usually use IE since all my frequented sites are currently handy in the pulldown URL [e digicons][/e]

Here is one from the comments section of this article talking about Discovery's bat stowaway: "It never bodes well when Systems Engineering and Integration performs a debris analysis on you..." That has got to be the funniest comment I have seen all week.

Paintball is fun... Just don't make the mistake of making one person on each team a 'medic,' in which they can get people in again who got shot. I got pinned in a small bunker with the medic, got shot at least 20 times before I just gave up. On another note, paintball is hard to play for those of us with glasses. The glasses will fog up almost immediately in the paint ball helmets and you won't be able to see anything. Oh, and remember to always wear a neck gaurd and a cup if your a g
There aren’t cities where you get to crank out armies of Unicorns and dragons or goblins. There are dragons and trolls and other such creatures in the game. But they are rare, special and have to be recruited. Your units start out as peasants. And you can train them (which gives them more HP) and you can arm them (which gives them more attack) and you can give them armor (which increase their defense).
Aw...

I don't think I will be playing much more ETW until they patch the AI on units. Tactical battles, especially seiges, are just silly. Any movement or attack order involving going anywhere near a wall, fence, or other building, especially when it involves moving over/through something makes the AI go nuts. For example, in one seige I was playing, I told my soldiers to attack enemies on the other side of a wall which had been breached. Rather than going through the breach and firing like I had e

The biggest problem I have encountered in ETW is the AI of soldiers in tactical battles. I had one battle where I marched my army into their blasted apart fort, expecting heavy resistance from the occupants (about 4 groups of units), only to find the enemy not fighting back. Not just not firing, but totally not acknowledging my troops presence. I marched my units within about 4 feet of theirs and they still just stood there. They even had their backs turned. It was more of a firing squad than
