Zeppleins would be awesome. Or spells for flying creatures that transport. Or finally making it so that every island either has a beach. an earth shard. or somehow have a technology like zepleins airboats or some form of transportation for at least one unit or else that kinda sucks. Although granted i had an awesome game on my own isolated island building an empire untill another empire came alo

I'll let everyone bicker the mechanics i gave up after the economic argument.. Anyways the one thing i do throw my vote in with is uber powerful soveriegns because afterall their the strongest beings in the world once they attain power therefore i believe that the ultimate counter to any 'steamroller' is a soveriegn simply walling his kingdom off with mountains or summoning a great daemon etc. such things counteract the actions of large empires. A
I agree for the most part. Although i think the shards are supposed to be Finite and have to be fought over. Also sacrificing pop/necromatic magic would be awesome to have. Good/Evil i do not think applies in this game.
Well we need more varience on doctrinal thought Like warbased mentalities etc. I suggest two things One we need to have a system basedon the mid and late game where research is not necessary for the beginning but those work hard in the beginning are rewarded as they enter midgame tech or more earlier. And have crosspath research like if you have some civic and alot of war have some war/civ techs that replace other techs like a war based form of cu
I like the variance. Maybe have an option to have a map generator 'equalize' starting locations or to allow it to be random for map generation.
I enjoy the scarcity of food. and our ability to create food producing land. It adds a strategic and Thematic level to gameplay.
Also to add to this...Yes it is decently balanced and secondly. It is a war of magic as an above poster mentioned... The Soveriegn is a powerful MAGE he's a channeler of nearly divine power. That trumps any warrior.
Simple have a popup ala Heroes 3 style. Asking if your sure your done and listing if you have towns that are not building/doing anything that can or units that can move. It doesn't have to tell you which just have a popup. an OPTIONAL Popup and there problem solved.
Don't put yourself down the game is Really good and the modding tools and your openness showcase how good the game is and how good of a designer you and the rest of the team are. To be honest this is my most anticipated game in over 3 years.
Scaling down and up depending on zoom level making them smaller as we zoom out relative.
I like everything...heh the games coming along wonderfully.
we don't know i believe its incredibly open though and after seeing the modding/editing tools its obvious even a person with very limited experience can easily make new quests and buildings etc.
To reply to Jerome i believe they do intend to allow heirs to replace the sov. Thank you Kellen i will look at the journal now.
I believe your allowed multiple in the same household up to something like 3-4 computers at least i was told that for both sins of a solar empire as well as dragon age origins from impulse. I do not know in particular to elemental but ask the support site.
I'm actually very happy with the game i just want to ensure the performance is good. and to see the techs+magic all put together. They'll probably start work on expansions soon too. After some balancing this game will be incredibly fun. Edit Just to note i meant they'll start expansions soon after release etc. i'm looking forward to the next 2 betas and personally i think the game is starting to look really good. Add that to
I believe mods should be able to play multiplayer but only if you had the same version etc. like Coh or other games that employ mods.
Perhaps only for heirs and soveriegns? and you could set it to autoleveling or something. I just want the ability for the sov maybe not anyone else but him if it comes to it.
It seems to me that though theirs a good bit of stats and alot of special spells etc. Melee/combat orientated soverigns lack the edge. and so do magical for special traits. So Wouldn't it be nice if everyfew levels we got to pick a special talent/trait? For all champions and heirs as well as the soveriegn *sov's get some special traits* these would range from leadership bonuses *slight bonuses to each soldier in the army thus making the soverign more important f
yeah for modders some testing cheats/debug would be nice plus cheats are sometimes fun for singleplayer to just have fun. Although i'd hate to be tempted with them.
I like the idea of capturing. Although i also wish we could summon special units like succubus nymph etc. *just those names are common* or a seductive creature to lure away commanders. Or assassinate as well as have assassins that can sneak into camps and attack commanders although randomly each combat turn or two more units will wake up and rapidly it increases 2-4-8 etc. untill the assassins is overwelmed unless the kill is quick.
They'll include magic into combat later. Plus tactical combat will likely have spells as well.
i guess you'd pronounce it Wa-am-UU-EN-Is-Per anyways i'm certain they'll clean up the random generator abit before release.
Well i'm sorry everyone else is so...*sighs* i don't know all i was saying was that the performance had gotten better for me from unplayable to enjoyable. That and i like the new magic and some such so i was simply praising them for all their hardwork to get us to this point not the game its self but the developers whom put so much work into it. and i guess alittle thank you must be issued to us beta testers since we did help find bugs and report issues etc. to
I just wanted to say the new beta has better performance looks awesome all the spells are wonderful. Although as i posted before i hope things like mountains and forests etc. don't cost maintence only enchantments and things that continuously need to be redone etc. I enjoy the new graphics and i greatly enjoy the better performance. Also i just wanted to pat the dev team on the back for making this game so quickly go from be
Spells should continue to cost a small amount of energy to maintain but not all spells. Ones that are continuous effect like rains etc. and flooding or volcanos yes. But changing land to hills or mountains should be really expensive but after that no maintence.
