The music is actually quite good. and i think the galciv2 music you refer to is a modified varient of one of the menu songs.

I actually do believe this game could Be one of the next big series. If they keep up the level of quality one day years from now we'll be in the beta for elemental 3-4. And if the publishing company gets decent sales and continues to publish elemental books...well it may end up as a large title and while not able to compete with something like say the 'forgotten realms' it'll be able to compete with civilization and age of wonders etc. as the best
in my experience something akin to 8-12 tiles/hexs.
[quote who="Stmorpheus" reply="14" id="2685555"]i really like the AP system. its a tried and true system that has the ability to be deep. it just has to be balanced. for instance alot of people concerns here can be addressed by balancing example people are worried that archers will be able to shoot alot. well pulling back a bow and taking aim takes alot longer than swinging a sword. so you would have an AP penalty on the archers FOR ATTACK. the g
Thats it Three Points to make. One Pacing is an Option and a scale their adding in so be happy with that. Two 'Turns' in total war are very long things you know they take alot of time in a single turn. Three do you know how many turns you can pass in this game in single player fairly quickly? In 2 hours i was up to turn 1870+ Thats alot of time So In reality its not all that slow its just the raw numbers that APPEAR slow. I like it the way it is and afte
Would be abit better then current system. and allow interesting wields and soldiers with duel weapons would be interesting.
Seriously thanks dev team for all your hard work I love the game thus far. Hopefully we can all get some more testing done for ya.
I hope they improve the GUI and UI yes.
Personally it looks like its shapeing up wonderfully.
Just wanted to state something about the DRM that E.A and Ubisoft use. It is catching on alot of companies are trying to use it. Unfortunately this backfired on them cause all of the torrenting sites and pirates have cracks so they can play without hassle whereas poorsaps like me whom bought the game legit *like settlers 7* have to deal with ridiculous protection systems. combine that with the even more extreme security system that E.A is discussi
Well for one they intend to have ALOT more troops meaning that later on we'll be able to have thousands of soldiers so..your summons would be swamped by immense numbers. *Just stating that as it is the ultimate counterbalance between the two* and the dragon and master quest i'm sure they will balance the dragon is intended to be uber powerful but much harder to get ahold of. and finally I'm pretty sure they intend to make all research as indepth a
Have a good nights sleep all the dev team you all deserve it,.
Still waiting *is falling asleep at desk and slapping self* seriously I'm waiting till its done!.
I was just messing around thought maybe we could get some paranoia stirred up for comedy.
Maybe stardock is mentally testing us to see how long we'll wait before we crack and go crazy.... Frogboy are you just F***ing with us? lol
Damn i'm waiting here i believe i may be going insane *begins to bash head against desk waiting for beta* lol
*Is waiting patiently...* I'm actually checking the forum and impulse every 5-10 mins for updates...i guess i'm not that patient lol.
Lol i agree i like having interesting terrain I would also love spells that alter your 'domain' like age of wonders to terraform the terrain into Fire Water/Ice Wind Earth *earth being one of several terrain types from hills/mountains to plains and crags* to finally life and death death being a wasteland between you and your enemies and life giving you many bonuses for having so much life but the weakness being many more monsters etc. You could balance it quite well and
All i will say is i look forward to possibly Item forging maybe an expansion of the economic system or perhaps just some more indepth rpgish features *exploring ruins etc.* and of course even more mod functions/tools somehow would be great as everytime theirs a game that expands on modding with its expansions it just gets better everytime just seems to be that way.
I like both ideas but particularly the city idea. Although it may be to late to implement Hopefully frogboy notices and decides to put it in. Edit. Thank you for contributing with such ideas though even if they don't make it its good to see someone trying. *Not saying that others don't try mearly complementing this individual for doing so.*
Sounds awesome i want an overlord forge. lol But yeah its good to see the devs care and have a plan for this i always loved crafting.
*laughs* Poor Europeans we make up for the loss of 5 hours because we don't waste time on Soccer. Just kidding don't want to offend anyone lol. I hope the Beta is polished nicely so no more random crashes.
I think shards are quite balanced *provided as frogboy said they take out the requirment for some spells if not most* because they also give you special buildings etc. perhaps an essence boost as extra incentive to control them since most spells will not require them till end game? combine the essence boost with the special structures they become incredibly important early game as well.
I firmly support both adding it to the book *hiergamenon* and to the selection screen.
Yeah i understand this question actually as in galactic civilizations i used to mod max points just to give myself extra bonuses for building my unique civs *i also had negative traits modded in* but yeah godmodding everyonce in awhile is fun particularly in fantasy games where you want to make a character that starts off moderately tough *i would make a sov with 15 on str dex and con while int and wisdom were both 20-28 and give em several positive traits* it wouldn't be uber rigged but it w
