I haven't posted in along time around here...i was very active during the betas and i quickly lost interest after that nightmare of a release...still...I kept the game and finally after along while I updated it again...and tried it again...expecting full well to still be disappointed. I was blown away by the changes made thus far...from larger unit sizes *the numbers* to the way i now have to actually take care to keep a good population+ the scaling of everything th

I hope this mod isn't dead....the lack of posts however suggests otherwise.
Love it. One thing that ruins the entire update for me though? The spell limit...Casting only one spell per turn is utterly bullshit. I loved being able to raise mountain ranges...now it'll take me fucking 20 turns to close off my area...Which i hate beyond all belief.
I'm having an issue with the death staff. it keeps crashing my game whenever i use it. My character goes to attack. then when his animation plays and its time for the death spells animation to start it just crashs to desktop. PM me or reply here if you have a simple solution i probably just did something wrong.
I'm having an issue..everytime i use the bonestaff my game crashes. the moment the animation plays. so if there is an easy fix i'd like to hear it thanks.
Star ruler. and Element are both good examples...star ruler is abit better. of Good game development. Element is having slow but large patches. star ruler is updated practically weekly. Both are becoming better at an ever increasing rate. Edit: Just to clarify. I do agree their buggy are start. but still they are getting better so thats abit better then it just getting worse or not being fixed.
Its worth it. If only for the modding community and their projects. the base game is fun too.
I'd love for him to get into elemental. Or civ5. And to the above poster. Annatar. Their modders. Of course they used icons and models from other things they still worked out a great mod and did alot of coding work so don't knock them Unless you can do better.
Look for example at some of bioware's RPG's. Their turnbased. But they can work in realtime Or turn based and best yet they look like their really fighting. In this we can just make it so it continuously animation loops fighting between soldiers etc. when you tell them to attack and If you don't specify new orders for that next turn then they'll just keep fighting. This way it makes it easier to command them. And make it so you can select multiple units at once and give
No more. Traditional usage of restrictions is Irritating. A mage even in DND can wear heavy armor and cast magic *If they have still spells* So infact your logic is abit simplistic and outdated even in new rules. Plus. Platemail doesn't hinder movement if your strong...Look at Most Mages their weaker and older. A Sovereign is not a mage..he's a 'cleric' but not quite more like a 'strongsoul' but not even that Hes infact more of an Avatar and a God put tog
Always knew Tasunke would try to make this sort of mod. I like the idea.
I'm highly interested in this idea for a mod.
I Semi agree with this post... And i do like the graphics. Only issue i have is that this game was released too early. thats the only issue if they had listened to the Beta testers 'like myself' that were worried about an early release this whole fiasco might not have unfolded.
Awesome mods. They need to incorporate these into the game.
In the end.The Soverreign I had to use capitals. Is the most important and powerful being In the world. In War he should be at the front. Destroying Armies and turning the tide of wars. It should only be another sovereign that a sovereign is afraid of *well dragons and other mystical creatures too* And eventually sovereigns should gain such power that they are strong enough to even beat down mystical foes and sovereigns should be the primary Focus. Their the Focal Point of all of the Lore and
For buffs i like deflect, it's ridiculously overpowered. It makes you immune to counter attacks soooo. Deflect, Stab of ice, repeat. In this way one of your kids (because they can have stupid mana regen) could quite easily solo a dragon.
This is Primarily what i hate most. I wish we had Powerful magic...The feel of the game is supposed to
This sounds like one of those epic idea's like fall from heaven. It'll either be Awesome. Or it'll be a failiure. I think it'll be successful. I'll try to support this and contribute some of my own idea's if you want.
Honestly. Jump into Fall from Heaven. It'll definitely be well rewording. Although I love Elemental. Elemental is great but you'll have a more satisfying Long game experience from Fall from Heaven.*if you love multi hour 3+ long games* If you want a shorter game go ahead and get elemental now. Otherwise get elemental in 2 monthes+mods and it'll be a better choice.
Me I Perfer being peaceful. Exploring my territory building a small quality over quantity *to the extreme* defensive force. and building trade with my neighbors. mostly being isolationist except for trade. untill i have sufficent power. Or enough men to overwelm one of my neighbors. whichever has the least value to me tradewise or the most value to me strategically. After taking them i whittle down either my allies or if by taking the first target i see more weak or medium strength neighbors.
I apologize but i couldn't figure out how to edit the A.I sufficently so here. Heres one more Idea. Gor since its so hard to effectively combat the A.I in the beginning and i didn't feel like it here's what to do. go to your my documents/my games folder and go to elemental. Select the units folder. Inside you will find your sovereigns name. Use Notepad or wordpad to open this file and then Edit the Sovereigns attributes. Thi
I'm glad to see this thread take abit better nature. Well there will likely be an Aggression mod or built in feature until then. Its 3 AM for me but tomorrow i will look into the A.I and see if i can edit the aggression for you. I make no promises just that i might try if i fail you probably won't hear anything about it if i succeed i'll post here or in a new thread *if this one is locked down* Anyways. I think everyone misunderstood him I do not think he
I don't understand all of the people here. I apologize but i have never suffered through any issues or glitches. Only one time on the pre patched preorder version of the game *the day before release* did it crash. After the release. Not once. And no errors loading. had some slowdowns but otherwise i've had no issues.
I understand both sides of this argument. What we need is an Aggressiveness mod tweak Or option in the menu. Something to tweak how aggressive they are but not change their actual intelligence or resources etc. As a way to add or take away difficulty and tailor the game to your style. And everyone stop flaming eachother it solves nothing try to come up with solutions. He's an loyal customer just like i have always been and his opinion shouldn't be put under intensive sc
Now this thread can be used for all sorts of conversation on the matters of the title. But I just want to address one issue. While yes the small army sizes in the late game doesn't make quite as much sense. To be honest they make Alot of sense in the early game. And I have seen posts stating that you cannot support 'industries' with only 20-50 people. Which is to be blunt abit Stupid. A Farm can be small and then expanded and grown from 20-50 workers to hundreds. that i
Actually. This game was always marketed in the very beginning when i preordered it last year as guess what. Post Apocolyptic. No one thinks that theirs going to be 'EPIC' empires after that. even 100 years isn't enough to have a large population..And if you have 1-2 guys with sticks you must not be very good. My last game i had to fight at least 100 men just to get to the enemy city and i had a good 20 men with me. </p
