The 3D required for the cloth-map only mode should be fairly minimal, and most netbooks have DX9.0c support (even if some work is done in software). Netbook gaming is not unheard of , though certainly not common. Making the game specifically with netbooks in mind should clear up any incompatibility issues. Expectations of performance, however, should be fairly modest.

A suggestion: put the main problems that lots of people have at the top of the list, with good descriptions. These would be the crash at title screen bug (with a link to a solution that sorta works here ), alt-tabbing doesn't work, loading games doesn't work, starting a new game after a game has already been started in the same run doesn't work... etc. Putting it in a big font would also help. Optimize the co

When this happens again, get your dxdiag, debug.err, and memory dump zip files and post a crash bug on the bug tracker , as per the stickied reporting guidelines . Also, a suggestion: post your debug.err onto pastebin.com and link to it when posting in the forum. It makes it easier to read and find your issues.

Bootcamp emulates the BIOS, but that probably doesn't come into play. I know bootcamp usually works well, but support from SD might be a little tricky to get. Yar, the X850 XT is a DirectX 9.0b card, but the game requires a 9.0c (officially). Kryo mentioned it might work on 9.0b, but they aren't going to support them. Tis' a pity about the card though. For me, my video cards have been dying on me regularly so I haven't had to deal with old card syndrome:)

Select the text you want to be the text for the link. Click the Insert/Edit Link button or right click the text and select Insert/Edit Link. A little popup box will appear with a space to put in the URL you want to link to.

Please edit your title with [Bug/Gameplay] in front of the title to make the issue easy to categorize, as per the stickied guidelines for issue reporting. If you can, some video of the issue might be nice too.

Might want to reformat your links. URL tags don't work here (this isn't phpBB). Just right click selected text and paste the link in the pop up box.

Unfortunately, the 9200 isn't a DirectX 9.0c card, it is a DirectX 8.1 card (see wikipedia ), and so will not be supported by SD. See here , for a dev's response to the same issue.

Just looking at your posts, I see you're using screencast.com from jing. However, the links you are using aren't actually a link to a picture, but a link to a regular ol' webpage that hosts a picture. To use the Insert/Edit image button here, you need an URL that ends with .jpg or .png. So go to the page that hosts the picture on screencast, right click the picture and select Copy Shortcut (IE) or Copy Image Location (FF). Use that URL in the Insert/Edit image button on the

Yep, looks like my problems here and here . Someone did say they had an nvidia card that had the tiling problem though, so I'm not sure if it's just ATI. I fixed the tile issue by setting mipmap levels to 1, and the other issue by turning the resolution to the lowest possible (1024x768 in my case).

A dxdiag isn't that useful if the game has started properly, according to the devs. The debug.err file has the needed driver/hardware info. In any case, don't post it inline as it has been in this thread. Put it on pastebin.com and just link it. Much better.

Loading games is well known to be borked , and the game does not reset upon a new game either.
