I read through this entire thread hoping to get som information on how the new expansion feels. But those comments were sparse, this just feels like another thread bashing Steam. Haven't we had enough of those? I sympathise with all the people who feel that Steam is the Devil, although I don't agree, it works perfectly for me. And yes, another option would have been a good idea, but I have faith that Stardock did what was best for the company and the FE franschise. And since I want th

I think you make a valid point Onomastikon, but I still prefer the current system. If the champions could wield both a melee weapon and a ranged weapon it would be a no-brainer, every champion would have both, since it's such an obvious advantage. I like the fact that I have to choose.
Decent review, but some point bother me. The earlier mentioned "resource pop-up" that doesn't exist in the game. Monsters too tough when you meet them??? Well, does he mean the monsters should scale with your empire? That would suck. They're SUPPOSED to make expansion harder, not just be easy experience. Kind of weird statement. And last, but not least, how can you call a game "decent, not great" and then proceed to give it a rating of 8.9??? What does he give good, or great g
The way you have been thinking isn't wrong, I would however rank Essence as most important, then Materials and finally Grain. Essence dictates how many enchantments can be put on a city, and many of the enchantments get more powerful per base essence in the city. I try to find a high essence high material city spot to found my main fortress.Other essence spots I use for conclaves, and the rest get to be towns. When choosing between one good city and two decent I would always pick

Aa usual Heavenfall has answered the questions better than I would. I'd just like to add that if you want to be able to snake towards rivers and forests, you can download parrotmouths mod to do so.
I pretty much like all of the changes, and the Jugs overhaul seems reasonable. It isn't beating them that's the problem, it's the using them. Won't know for sure until I try, but this seems good.
Heavenfall, are you Swedish? One of the special items in your mod has a flavour text that seems to be taken from the lyrics of the song "Flickan och kråkan". Made me smile... ;)
I don't really see what the rage is about. Especially what he says about modders? As far as I know, FE is moddable to an extent few other games can match. I actually agree that the factions in FE are a bit bland. So I installed Heavenfalla Stormworld mod. Problem solved. With that mod I absolutely love this game. LOVE. As in I'll probably play it for years and I'll tell everyone to buy it and I can't wait for the expansions to give me more. So thank you

Dihir, did you even read through this thread before replying? The question was if there was any upside to the wraiths traits. And the general concensus seems to be that no, there isn't. The +3HP lifesteal is way too weak to compensate for the weakness of -1HP/level. You call it a starting bonus, but I see no point in it even early on. Now if it was +3HP lifesteal per hit instead of kill I'd agree, but right now the wraith are seriously gimped.
Could be, I've updated the mod several times so I might have forgotten. I'll reinstall and see what happens. Thanks for your quick help, and once again, thanks for this extraordinary mod. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Thanks for the quick answer. How do I search all the files in the mod folder for a specific text string? edit: AS far as I can tell, there are only three files with that line, two in the champions folder (which maybe should be only one?): 7demonshrill_tiuzon and 5demonshrill_tiuzon, and one in the quest folder: monsterlair_demonshrill
First off, Heavenfall, fantastic work. This mod increases my enjoyment of the game tenfold, which brings Fallen Enchantress from the "Good" into the "Excellent" category. Kudos. I have one question and one bug to report: Question: How do I disable all the "original" champions? Since I play with the original factions off it just feels weird to have them in game, the new ones are more fun. Bug: The demon shrills in my game look like a demonshrill base with
This whole thread made me smile, I love the whole pony debate. I guess I would qualify as a hardcore Brony since I got a purple my little pony tattooed on my forearm (the "original" my little pony, not those horrible new ones). In my defense I got it as a symbol for my daughter, maybe that makes it a little less cheesy...but only a little.
Yeah, it might feel a bit forced and "gamey", but if you could give your heroes all the weapons/mounts/armor/items you research the game would be less fun. You have to invest time and money into your champions to make them powerful, and this is as it should be. And you actually have to choose what equipment to spend money on and what you can do without. And when it comes to mounts, you want all champions mounted up as soon as possible if they're out fighting, if the
Go into "options" and disable auto-turn. I've no idea why anyone would prefer that option turned, I turn it off in every single turn-based game I play. It should be off by default. Problem solved. ;)

YES! For me this is the major problem of the game right now. But I don't want champions to be nerfed, shorter training times, some HP adjustments and slightly less powerful loot sounds like a much better plan.
I honestly hope their business goes up after this announcement, giving other developers an incitament to do the same.
