Equipment for Sovereign Or Hero..

Hi there,

Soooo I feel like I'm missing something.. 

If I get a resource like horses (abviusly after the right research etc..) How can I get it for free for my sovereign? 

If it's at all possible?

You need to click on your Sovereign or Champion, click shop.  You can buy the resource for champions and sovereigns.

 

There are some quests that the reward is a horse or warg.  But you typically just have to equip them with it from the shop.

Note: you need to be within your own lands to shop. Or you can be within an AI players land and shop to see whatever they have available, I believe as long as you aren't at war with them.

I could give you a bunch of silly, made-up reasons, but what it comes down to is game-balancing.

Yeah, it might feel a bit forced and "gamey", but if you could give your heroes all the weapons/mounts/armor/items you research the game would be less fun. You have to invest time and money into your champions to make them powerful, and this is as it should be. And you actually have to choose what equipment to spend money on and what you can do without.

 

And when it comes to mounts, you want all champions mounted up as soon as possible if they're out fighting, if they idle in a city then they never need a mount...

I still get them a horse or a warg just in case they are attacked and have to help defend the city.
