:) hey as ive said all along, GC2 is one of my favorite games of all time, as long as the CEO of StarDock is a regular on this forum and they keep pushing out patches, asking for feedback and adding to it, then I will wait for the game to hit the status I want. I dont think that makes me a fan boy, look at all the games that get released in crappy state, get one patch that barely fixes them, then they discontinue support. Long as SD doesnt say screw it, and pull the plug i will keep p

Honestly mocking his use of AND is a rude thing to do. Yes he does come across rude, Stardock is obviously being proactive with the patches, they need help and direction. We should be positive and help them. How often do you get to have direct feed back actually taken into account? Fine bugs and problems, and make polite suggestions with well thought out responses.
Mellow people, they didnt say that 1.08 was going to balance everything. Give them another couple of patches, they seem to be making some head way on the OOM errors, and they are adjusting the game as needed. Be polite and give them a proper list of pros and cons to help them balance it when they go to do that.
I was refering to sooner then a year from now the game will be seen in a different light.
Hey having your company work on a non profitable product warms everyones hearts, but we want you to make money. The game has gotten better and more stable with each patch. You are going to get a stable game, and a game that you want to play. Already the game is pretty addicting. Adding to it will only make it better. Stable addicting games sell. There is no reason elemental sales would tick up a bit and stay stable long term.
Sooner then that Brad.
Love playing the game i really do, but on the large maps man i start getting nervous, and after awhile sure enough OOM. Then after the first two im more worried about the out of memory then the game. Im sure they will get it squared away. The one that kills me is when something happens that signals a upcoming out of error, like a texture doesnt render, or battle sounds stop working,
I bet the team members took one look at this post and the number of replies and it was a very FML moment.
Froggy, if there is yelling it means its fun multi ;) Errr well at least fun for one of them.
ATI HD 5800 Intel I7 3.08 8 Gigs DDR3 Win7 64Bit --------------------------------- Sadly its decently random both in a battle and in a game. Some games it happens more often, I play with a custom race and hero. Melee, Range, or magic. It seems like when it starts happening im about 5 to 10 minutes from a COD Out Of Memory error though.
lol Sotrander your nuts bud. Hotseat is hell. Specially for this kind of game. But to each there own I guess.
That would be epic. Have a female Sov, click on the marry Janus button. "Im sorry i can not marry you, im a unick"
Tridus, thats cold, having poor Janusk "fixed" like a common cat or dog so he cant breed.
I have to strongly disagree to any post that claims the AI in Galciv2 was weaker then Civ4. Aa far as surprise attacks I had to deal with them often in GC2. GC2 was a amazing game, with very ruthless and cunning AI.
The moment he said he worked on Spore i closed the window :P Spore is the single biggest waste of potential ever.
Whats Opera ;)
While I never like seeing posts locked I do understand. Very much looking forward to another patch, each one has been better and better.
Now are all multiplayers going to have a helper right off the bat like Janusk, more importantly are we all going to have a Janusk? :) It would make for some pretty epic 1 on 1 Janusk duels to the death in MP.
It tactical combat damage is applied, but not displayed. S.R.
Sounds like a plan. :)
I got my literally days after the game came out. S.R.
WA State here. Got it a few days after offical release.
I will sit down with the map creator tonight and really see what it can do, we should start a thread for just quests and just start adding them in slowly but surely. Then we can have a list of premade quests all spelled out. Sean did you have a list somewhere already?
On top of all of it he was refering to the idea of battling back in forth (im assuming with different elements as well? ). Which makes perfect sense.
The big issue with Demigod (We played it LAN out fo the box with 10 people worked great) was that so many people pirated it, that the servers were so damn overloaded. There were a few hand shake issues ive read as well but nothing to serious.
