I mentioned something about this a little earlier, but I think Janusk either needs to be removed completely or, better yet, randomized.  It's not going to make much sense for 9 different Janusk's running around a multi-player map, and it also feels a little dull to have the exact same character show up during single-player games.

I'd love to see the "Janusk" character appear completely different at the start of each game in both single and multiplayer.  So it would show up with random stats, appearance, name and gender.  Could add some spice to the early game.

Agree Janusk is a poor concept, especially since this game manages to randomize characters so well. Also I mostly play a fallen race and I am starting to get sick of only being able to hire human champions. Those may be minor issues but need to be addressed.

Why is Janusk even a hero/champion? Why can't SD just turn him into an interactive pop-up? It's not like he's used for anything in-game and removing him would eliminate all of the balance concerns.

Having Janusk is nice, it lets sovereigns who dump champion-recruiting stuff get at least ONE champion, who I then imbue and let do all of my spellcasting. Without him, it would be a lot harder to have a sovereign that focuses on the martial stuff, since magic is just such an important part of the game. Sovs with high charisma and such will still be able to get a lot more champions, so it's not like it makes dumping charisma into a no-brainer or anything.

That said, having him be randomized a lot more would be great. I can also see that being able to marry that first free champ might be troublesome as well, in which case I'd say his gender should change to be the same gender as your sovereign, instead of the opposite.

By the way, unchecking 'enable janusk advice' in options not only disables his advice but removes him from the game completely.

Tridus, thats cold, having poor Janusk "fixed" like a common cat or dog so he cant breed.

Janusk should be disabled for MP.  Easy solution. 

This.  Fire Janusk, he's obsolete.  Give him the axe!  Instead of having a 'disable Janusk' option, they can change it to 'disable advice'.
