Hopefully at some point StarDock will make a real move towards saying multiplayer will end up EXACTLY like single player. Then let us mod it from there. Anything less is a joke.

CIV 5 *looks* more polished. It has more features right now. However CIV5 has crappy turn by turn performace. My machine will blow the socks off alot of peoples, I didnt have performance issues like alot of people did with Elemental. However in CIV, even small map few players, turn to turn lag is hell. Hmmmm i would uninstall your game, and reinstall. 1.08a and b have been stable for me but i did a fresh install.

Modding currently is buggy as hell in Civ5. Not to mention Civ5 jipped having animations in multiplayer, so everyone just kinda teleports around. Now i know people had performance issues with Elemental and some still do, but Civ5 going between turns is retarded slow. My machine is pretty powerful as well. I just hope elemental when finished up with patches and updates, has the same multi options as single. Same game.

I have been playing a ton of Elemental been enjoying it and each patch gets better and more stable. Its also nice to see our feedback going into the updates. Yes launch was messy but hey it happens. Using only heros, with bows and magic, on hardest difficulty, while building only one city i was able to win. :) Not sure what your having issues with, build more archers and i think youll be fine.

lol reading his posts actually made me giggle. Id start a new map if i were you. Sounds like you got a bad draw, started a map to test 1.08 on and i had a normal amount of resources, Kraxis to my east had a better draw but i killed his Sov so f-him. I do notice a flood of monsters. But magic at least does some damage now.

Look for any sound changes, the moment you start missing battle sounds in game, save, quit reload.
