One of the things I loved about Civ IV was that I could enable a time of day clock on the UI so that I could see just how late it really was while playing. I don't find that option with FE and find myself staying up way to late at night to play "just one more turn" when I should really be getting some much needed sleep.

It has been my experience that when this happens, the game has crashed. If you bring up the Task Manager you'll see that Elemental is "Not Responding". My solution is to kill it and restart. You probably already know this but thought I would give you my two cents.
This may already be possible just not intuitive enough for me to figure out how to do. But, I have a sovereign with three health potions who goes into battle with a bandit mob. After killing all but the last bandit I am down to 3 health. It would be a risk to attack a bandit I may not kill with the first blow because his counter will almost certainly kill me, so all I need to do is drink one of my health potions and strike away. However, I can't take my potion because
I have my sovereign with some nice leather armor who completes a quest that gives him some spectacular armor which he immediately uses, however, I have not been able to discover any way to give that leather armor to one of my other party members so that they can improve their defense. So far all I have been able to do is sell it back to the merchant and buy the same thing at double the sale price to equip my party member; and that is only after I go back to town.
I would keep the shards they are now, randomly scattered by type across the map, however, I would modify the sovereigns so that no one knew any elemental magic until a shard was discovered. This way, if I happen to find a water shard, I gain access to water spells that I can learn. Summoning then is based on number of shards owned. If I have one water shard I can summon weak water elementals, if I have two shards I can summon a more powerful elemental, etc. I would als
I placed a kennel on a warg den and started generating warg units, however, when I designed a mounted unit that was riding a warg, the game says a horse was required. It would not let me build the designed unit even though I had more than 20 wargs available but no horses.
I was playing with General Carodus(sp?) with his two sentinels and decided to attack one of the lesser realms. The first attack occurred outside the outpost and I was the winner with no casualties. The enemy had re-spawned in his city so the next turn I attacked. He had one other NPC, he ran and the NPC attacked my group in tactical combat. I killed the NPC and the enemy escaped. Since I had one move left after the battle I went to attack the outpost. After
Thanks kyro for the information. Once I found the debug.err file I was able to find and fix the problem. Windows 7 likes to place files in many and different places than XP.
I bought a new computer this weekend and after downloading Impulse and then Elemental was all set to start a new game on the beta. Unfortunately, after presenting the small window giving me an option to update the game, look at the manual, or play the game, when I select to play the game, I never get farther than the splash screen. Looking at task manager, Elemental has stopped responding and in fact I need to end it in order to get back any control on my PC. I looked for a
My sovereign and one other NPC were in a stack next to an enemy army consisting of one four man squad and two lone warriors, six enemies total. I saved the game before I hit next turn and every time I reload that game I get the close to desktop. I conquered an enemy outpost that had 8 population. After building a hut the population rose to 40 but the city was still a level 1 city. Eventually, I built every available item in the city but it would never level up above level 1.
I was not able to build any food producing buildings in any of my cities. Only the city that had a food resource, wheat, allowed me to build a building to take advantage of the resource. This provided enough food to let me build huts to get two of my cities above first level but I was never able to go beyond that.
When I end my turn I am within two squares of a monster. When I start my next turn, the area where the hero was is now under Fog of War and the hero is no longer in my selection list. I can only assume that the monster killed the hero, however, it would be nice to at least get a prompt from the game that my hero was killed in battle.
I am also having this problem. I specifically took Lord Markim? and bumped up his movement after winning combat just so that I could have a fast attack stack, however, no matter what I stack with him, the stack moves at the speed of the slowest unit in the stack. Basically, this trait is useless.
I usually play with the mini map enabled. Sometime while playing the mini map became transparent and would display the regular map as if you were looking through a window. I tried to disable the mini map and re-enable it, change zoom level, etc., but nothing I did restored the mini map except to quit the game and reload.
Many of the quest provide a potion or book that will improve the base stats of the champion finishing the quest, however, the only time you can view the base stats is when the champion is leveling up, therefore, it is hard to decide whether to use the item or not since you don't know what effect the item will have on the overall behavior of the champion. There should be a way to view the base stats from one of the screens. Base stats are strength, intelligence, dexterity, etc. a
When I fight a battle where I get enough experience to level up all the champions in the stack I get the level up dialogue for each champion in the battle, however, if any of the champions were killed in the battle, they are removed from the stack, after I had leveled them up. This waste time having to level up champions who are dead. I suggest that casualties be removed first and then survivors level up.
