When I played the game for the first time like in the OP said (that is, no load game, I played a few hours straight) and clicked on the Quests tab in the Kingdom Report screen, the game crashed. Subsequent tries after loading the game and clicking in that tab have resulted in crash too. In fact I have tried again with that saved game right now, and I got another crash. So... the answer to your question is yes.[e digicons]o_O[/e] Is there anything else I can provide? Not

After playing for some hours straight, decided to check the Quest tab in the Kingdom report because I hadn't checked it yet and I had read about a crash in it. Her voice is totally fine. If I were to blame her of something would be of not memorizing all the lines, gather all the people of her office around her and tell them the story the same way (well, similar) to how she would tell them about something more normal (than cataclysms in fantasy worlds). To make the intro using only the game engine (no cloth map!!!!) would be the best of the best.

Just because there is the option, don't forget to actually develop some nice, good and efficient way to have tech trade done. I have never used the option of not tech brokering as, of all the things, that would be one of the few "inmersion breakers" for me. Would be like if I were to disable diplomacy.. or combat... So give the option but let's try to have a good tech brokering system huh? (which is already supposed but just in case)

A "Everybody has the same Religion" victory would had made sense. It'd also favor too quickly victories sometimes.
